AWESOME WATCH!

Hands down the best smart watch that is on the market. It is very sleek and modern. Fits on my wrist well and battery longevity is long lasting. What makes this watch worth the money is that you are able to view your notifications such as text, emails, Facebook, Instagram, etc. This makes it convenient when you are at work and on the go.

Fantastic Device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Classic S3 for a couple months now and it is fantastic. It really is an added convenience with being able to see texts and e-mails on my wrist, as well as replying to texts right away. This has actually made me a safer driver not picking up my phone anymore. The display is great, even outside in the sun. I also love that i can put any watch band on this. Added a deployment clasp and I'm happy.

Samsung mixes sleek design with integrated functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is awesome to see how far Samsung has come in the wearables game. Back when I had the S5, I got the Gear Fit which was great, but after a few months went the way of most wearables...I began to forget to charge it and then left it at home and would occasionally pick it back up and wear it again for a week or two. While the device was great and made me appreciate my Galaxy phone, even more, the functionality was limited. When the Frontier came out, I began researching it, to see if I would once again invest in a wearable device. I am so glad I did. This is absolutely the greatest smart watch on the market.I have a lot of friends who are loyal to other brands, and without fail every single one of them is jealous of my watch. Samsung has been able to take wearable technology and make it integrated technology. I can't imagine going a day or even a few hours without my watch. I love Samsung Pay, and the watch can handle electronic payments quickly and flawlessly. Making calls on the phone is also easy (and much safer when driving), and they are crystal clear. The activity trackers are incredibly accurate. I love the little nudge when I have been inactive for an hour at work. I also kept a sleep log and matched it against my watch, and it was precise without ever having to manually start tracking (which I always forgot to do with other wearable devices). If you are even slightly on the fence about getting a smart watch, get this watch, you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Samsung!

Amazing Watch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this watch. This timepiece is very well made and has a very stylish design. Not to mention, I received many compliments from friends, family, and co workers. The integrations are outstanding! The heart rate and health features are extremely helpful, it even reminds you when you haven't gotten up to walk in a certain amount of time. Furthermore, the Spotify, Uber, receive send text messages, and the ability to receive and call through the watch features frees you from your phone. The screen size and resolution is surprisingly well done and very bright.Overall, this is definitely a watch worth purchasing.

Good for first-time smartwatch owners, hold off if upgrading from a Gear S2

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a Gear S2 (Verizon/3G), this watch is more of an evolutionary upgrade than a revolutionary one. The Gear S3 Classic has a 5+ day battery life, Samsung Pay (both MST & NFC), and a bigger screen. Comparatively, the Gear S2 had only a 1-day battery life, Samsung Pay (only NFC), and a smaller screen. On paper, these sound like worthwhile upgrades. But to get these upgrades, you’ll have to accept the fact that this watch is bulky and slightly uncomfortable. Samsung did it’s best to make the watch look slimmer by blacking-out the lower half of the watch body. But there’s no hiding its bulk. It’s like moving up from a ladies’ watch size to a men’s ginormous “Fossil” type watch. And for those with smaller wrists, this can limit hand/wrist mobility. The only feature that makes the Gear S3 stand out is the Samsung Pay MST technology. In a nutshell, Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) mimics the signal that a magnetic stripe on a credit card sends to the credit card terminal when swiped. That means the MST-equipped watch can be used to pay for items in 90%+ credit card terminals in the US (except for gas pumps and ATM’s, where the reader is embedded too far into the machine). Compare that to NFC technology (which powers Apple Pay and Android Pay), which requires an NFC reader at the credit card terminal. A somewhat rarity, even today. Bottom line, there’s a few ways to look at this watch: 1) If you’re upgrading from another Gear watch and really want the Samsung Pay MST technology or you need a better battery life at any cost, consider upgrading to this watch. 2) If you’ve never had a smartwatch before but are looking to jump on the bandwagon, you can’t go wrong with a Gear S3 watch. But I’d recommend the Gear S3 Frontier, which offers cellular connectivity over the Bluetooth-only Gear S3 Classic. 3) If you’re coming from another smartwatch, you’re getting one of the best watches on the market with a far more functional and versatile platform than Android Wear and WatchOS. If you don’t fall into any of these categories, I would recommend waiting until October 2017 when the Gear S4 is rumored to be released.

Do NOT BUY unless you have a Samsung Android phone

read all the reviews, this seemed exactly like what I needed. I have a Google Pixel 3 and what I found was that there is no Messages app on the watch when paired with a non-Samsung phone. Went online to seach various forums and found about 1,000 other angry customers. Taking it back to the store. This was the main reason i wanted this watch so that i could read and reply to messages without having to take out my phone.

Tumi Watch face nowhere to be found.

Overall build quality is excellent. Software is good. (I have an iPhone so functionality is somewhat limited - message and email apps don't work - I'm only able to get incoming text messages and email notifications but cannot reply or view older texts). I also noticed a big battery drain on iPhone after pairing this Watch, but since all those are issues caused I believe by OS, I won't make a big deal about it. I especially like the Tumi strap, very luxurious and expensive looking. Only problem is when I opened the package there's a little note telling me to go to this website www.galxy.us/tumi (that's not a typo, it is spelled "galxy", not "galaxy"), and/or to scan the code in the card to find the exclusive companion watchface, but when I did that, it only took me to the Gear App Store main page in which the Tumi Watch Face was nowhere to be found. Even though I spent several HOURS searching for the Watch Face, for the life of me I couldn't find it anywhere. It should come pre installed in the Watch to begin with! Help!

It would be perfect but constant screen lockouts

I absolutely love this watch. The ability to swipe and pay is fantastic. The problem is it forces you to put the screen lock on with a pin. First the numbers for the pin are so small and odd shaped that 9 out of 10 they are wrong. Then it asks for the pin when looking at text messages or mail notifications. never has it asked for the pin when actually using the pay program. The tilt to display has a mind of it's own. And the ability to understand what notifications are waiting from the home dial is confusing. It could be so much more. But I go back forth every day whether to return it or not.
