Best One Out There!!

This watch is freakin' awesome! I also have the Gear S2 and the S3 is WWAAYY better in the battery dept. This watch lasts me 2 days between charges...the S2 needed to be charged every night...There's a reason people are picking these up over the Wear OS running watches...this watch does everything it's supposed to do, and does it perfectly!!

1st Smartwatch and love it

Great watch. No issues. Easy to navigate. Battery not as long as advertise but 2 days is great. I do leave the display always on. I have a Samsung phone so the software is flawless between the devices . Not as many apps as the Android wear but not really missing out on much since the notifications settings are so great on the watch. Maybe I am not aware of what apps I am missing out on but working the way I wanted it too.

Great watch

I love the watch. Like the fact that it looks very sturdy and has performed well since I purchased it. I love the health aspects of the watch but haven't really used S Health because of a reported battery issue. The lack of Google voice and maps is the only thing that I can knock it for, other than that it's perfect.

Luv'vin my Gear S-3

ABSOLUTELY love this watch.. I have owned just about every version of the gear watches (along with a couple other brands) and I have to say that this one lives up to the hype.. It has far exceeded my wishes and I love how it interacts with S-Health to keep me motivated to keep moving.. I can't even remember the last time that I rode the elevator.. I was also impressed with the better battery life and noticed that I can actually go over a day without charging the device even in the always on display mode.. If I could change anything, I would hope that the makers would increase the on board memory as I tend to load my workout music on the watch to keep from bringing my phone to the gym's floor.. OK so I would hope that future models would allow the user to answer phone calls via bluetooth headphones.. This would keep me from removing the headphones to answer a call which interrupts my workout.. All in all, I am VERY happy that I chose this watch..

Watch out Apple, Samsung can accessorise too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Gear S3 Frontier to use it's full name, has been a pleasure to wear this past month. Whilst feeling like a "normal" watch and it tells the time, the smartness has been subtly amazing! Having had the original Gear Fit until now, I expected standard features of which of course this Frontier had and enhanced i.e. giving me a nudge if sedatory for a while and showing/responding to stretching suggestions to get active! The display is fantastic, microphone is really clear (spoke to my wife whilst on Brighton beach with my hands full with the kids) and options to customise are easy and plentiful i.e. the watch faces. This is an extension of my S7 edge phone being able to successfully and easily take calls, handle messages (including 3rd party apps like whatsapp) and the S Health features are excellent. The battery life is better than imagined at a realistic 3 days and children really loved the surprise Vampire game and moving bezel; truth be told I do too :-) A couple of non-positive comments: The watch sometimes automatically read the exercise wrong i.e. pushing my daughter in a pushchair thought I was cycling, understandable but shouldn't be congratulated for a bike ride! Also, as with the Gear fit, the need to remember the specific charging accessories (in this the case the magnetic, wireless charger) is a pain if away from the single one you have; not widespread enough to borrow another person's charger. All in all, I was delighted to take part in this experience and will definitely be keeping the watch as whilst not really "needing" it at the start of the campaign, it would now be missed if I did not have it!

Best watch i have ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Review I have been using the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch for about 2 months now and I wanted to write up a review giving my feedback on what I thought about the watch in general, the interface and features. I used to have the Samsung Gear Fit. Even the packaging for the watch is top notch, taking the watch out it comes with a small dock that allows for cable less charging like the wireless charging for the S7 edge. Its magnetic as well so the watch won’t just call off if you pick up the dock. While charging, it rotates the display and shows you how long before it is fully charged.  The watch comes with a standard rubber wrist strap that was enough for me, it is possible to swap them out for others.  The size of the watch face and profile off the wrist is no bigger than any watch I have worn before so it isn’t heavy on the wrist or sticks out so you catch it on door frames etc. The S3 is packed full of features and some I am still trying out, one thing that I thought was strange that didn’t come with it was no count down app. This was downloadable from the Samsung Apps and sent to the phone.  I am not one for using tech for showing off so wouldn’t play music through my watch etc.  This morning I did find the phone call and text messaging very useful as I got up to let the dogs out and have a cuppa when I got a text, I was able to reply using the built-in keyboard. After a few messages were exchanged I thought it was easier to call so I used the watch to make a call in the kitchen while my mobile was still on charge in the bedroom. (I’m not one for always carrying my mobile with me when I first wake up). There are also custom watch faces that can be downloaded. The S health integration is fantastic, after 10 minutes of walking it starts recording walks rather than just step counts. If I sit still for an hour it vibrates and tells me to get moving or at least Stretch.  Pros  For me the health monitoring is why I love this watch, I don’t need to do anything and it just works with my Samsung S7 edge Health App recording all my info to help me stay healthy. Like all Bluetooth devices, calls and notifications are handy but you can get that feature for a lot less. The Dial interface to scroll through apps and widgets make it really easy to use.  Cons Wearing this tightly on my wrist and in the shower, has caused a mild skin rash, wet rubber on skin will do that I guess but worth noting. Also, occasionally when I go from Bluetooth

Amazing!!

I wanted this Watch for Christmas and was not able to locate it in Stock any where. I tried my wife tried and no luck, well I can see why it was so hard to find..this thing is amazing!! My phone would run out of battery half way through my work day and I'd be scrambling to get to a charger, I used my phone for Work and would be constantly reading texts or replying to emails. Now I can text right from my phone or answer phone calls and no one notices that I'm talking on my watch. Battery life on this thing is great. I use about 17% average, so every time I charge my watch it's at about 80%-83%. A bunch of great apps like uber and so many more. Overall the look is Classy. I get complaints all day on how the watch looks and then it turns into a 5 minute conversation on all things that it does. I love the look now but I'm definitely eyeing those brown alligator straps.

More than a fad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I admit that the main thing that held me back from getting a smart watch in the past was the worry that after the novelty had worn off it would become an annoyance rather than a useful tool. I've come to find that it's actually of far more use than I thought it would be. It does all the regular smart watch things like monitoring your heart rate, steps slightly condescending words of encouragement while walking quickly to work "keep going!" It also lets you read and reply to texts, email, whatsapp etc. Answer and make calls. My only bug bear is that for example when you get an email the watch notifies you but you then have to delete the email and then the notification. Beyond that it's brilliant and I am glad I've got it now.

Great Watch, Needs to catch up on the Apps

First I would like to start out by saying that it was a hassle getting this smartwatch. It was backordered and sold out everywhere but I managed to buy one the week it was released. The design of the watch is what first caught my eye. It is very fashionable unlike many other smartwatches in the market and the face size is much bigger than the Gear S2 (which was the biggest selling point for me). The bezel makes using the watch very easy and user friendly. The silicon wristband is comfortable enough but I plan on trying the leather ones to see if they are any different. My only real complaint about the silicon is that when I am sweating while wearing the watch it tends to get slightly uncomfortable. The battery life has been great so far. I have been charging it every night but after a full day of use, it only drops to about 85% battery life. So I'm guessing I can go a few days without having to charge it. The charger is also great. Small and stays magnetically connected to the watch. My only real complaint so far is that it could catch up on some of the apps available for it. I use the Samsung Mobile Pay easily but would like to see other apps I use frequently such as the Nike+ Running App rather than using the Samsung Health App and it could use the Starbucks App.

Fun to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Gear 3 for a few weeks now. When the watch first arrived watch band was very stiff and hard to get the watch on and off. Since I have the Bluetooth version you need the phone around, but if you are connected to wi-fi it will send you your notifications and calls on your watch still. The watch was easy to set up and to customize for your own needs. While replying to texts on your watch would not be my first choice, it gives you 3 different options to enter text responses. Unfortunately, if you reply to a group text only the person that sent the original text receives the response. Also, as a woman the watch is rather bulky, but the weight is pretty equivalent to a fancy dress watch I have. I will say my wrist does get a bit sweaty and sticky under the ban which is annoying. I do enjoy tracking my steps and being told to move if I have been idle to long. I like to wear it to sleep to see me sleep patterns that it records. Overall this watch is a lot of fun to have on your wrist.
