Just bought this unit so that I could fully enjoy watching Ultra HiDef 4K BluRay on a new TV and am very happy with it! The ability to split sound and video comes in really handy when you have a receiver that is not HDCP 2.2 compliant. Setup was really easy, though the remote is pretty small and too much use can cause hand fatigue. Sound and picture quality are fantastic. Best of all, the price is much lower than the other 4K player out there. I've already referred the unit to a friend who is setting up a home theater and he bought it today!

An excellent performance for an excellent price! This product was reviewed by one of the pros as as one of the two 4K Blu Ray players that perform well but this is the more moderately priced of the two. I have to say that I watched a 3D movie (The Jungle Book) and was absolutely blown away! I have mine paired with a 4K TV so that makes a big difference, keep that in mind when you consider your choices.

I love this player's performance. Blu-ray and 4K DVD playback is excellent. The picture seems to jump out of the TV. Colors are true and the depth-of-field is uncanny. A truly remarkable player. My only reason for not giving it 5's across the board is the the remote control is small and the player is a little sluggish when using the Next and Back keys as Forward and Rewind.It's also very easy to hit the Power button when rewinding and you want to hit Play. This is my 3rd Samsung DVD Player (1 HD, 1 Blu-ray & 1 Blu-ray/4K) The remotes on the Blu-ray players each have their issue, while the HD player's remote is very functional.

I've been waiting for years for this Blu-Ray player to hit the market so that I could fully exercise my 4K projector. Watched Martian UHD version and it was spectacular! Watched a Blu-Ray and the Mrs. immediately noticed the upscaling. Love the dual HDMI ports on the back of this unit, should I ever need to pump out audio separately. (This is Samsungat its finest - helping out those that may not have the right configuration to handle HDCP 2.2.). I can do without the curvature and the unit can be a heck of a lot smaller, but it's still fantastic. Just hoping that it doesn't start to fault like my previous Sammy did after 18 months.

I've had other Blu-ray players but this was my first Ultra 4K model. The set up and connect ability was straight forward. The picture quality is amazing with great color, clarity, and definition. I don't know why I didn't purchase one of these sooner. It is a great compliment to my Samsung 55" Ultra HD 4K television.

This is my first 4k UHD player but it is very nice. SAMSUNG GUI is ok but performance is great. Colors and contrast are awesome. 4k BD are so much better than Regular R BD. I have had to rewatch many of My Blu Ray movies because they just look so much better. Set up was easy and quick. Load time was also fast. Nice player you can't go wrong.

I've only played just regular Blu-rays on this thing and it looks beautiful. Once i get a UHD blu-ray movie i bet is going to look twice as better than a regular blu-ray. I seen a lot of reviews and they been good. I would definitely recommend this player.

Easy to use, appealing design, lots of features and of course the sought after 4K Blu-ray disk compatibility and true 4K output. 2 hdmi outputs allow one to go directly to the 4K TV to maintain the 4k quality and one to go to the receiver to provide the Dolby Digital TruHD sound quality to go with it

I purchased the UBD-K8500 to go with the new 65" 8500 TV. The picture quality is amazing. Colors are realistic, detail is pinpoint, and there is no pixilation or artifacts. Another bonus is that with the newer Samsung TVs the connectivity is automatic. Both products can be operated with one remote and switching between DVD, and apps like Netflix are automatic and seamless. I highly recommend.

This uhd player being the first to market has packed a punch. The k8500 overall is wonderful, from the feature set to the image quality it produces. The dual hdmi outputs make it a breeze to hook up however you need to. The player itself is very speedy. The only downfall i have with the player is that there is no display to see the time on the unit at all. Overall this is strongly recommended to anyone looking for a uhd player!
