[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pleased with the versatility of this mixer-holds a small 2qt & 5qt bowl, as well as 6qt bowls. This mixer, new, is noisier than any of my previous KitchenAid mixers. I returned one new mixer of this model because the operational noise was twice as loud as the one I replaced it with.

I just would spend the money so I have tried multiple different ones and all have either broke or stopped working. I have used this new mixer multiple times now it's great and very easy to clean!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this mixer but when I went to use it I couldn't. I followed the book by checking to see if the beater hit the bowl. It slightly did, so you were to turn a screw counter clockwise to raise the beater. I did that and when I turned it on it made a terrible noise. The beater hit the bowl and some of the paint on it got damaged. The bowl didn't sit properly either after that. I returned it and bought the Artisan. Haven't tried it yet.

Not only did I make my dough for my dinner rolls on Christmas, I also mashed my potatoes. I am looking forward to exploring the attachment options. I have finally gotten the KitchenAid that I have always wanted!!!!!

Sadly, the head does not tilt, obstructing the addition of ingredients. Even with the shield in place, there's still usually a mess. This mixer would be pretty perfect with a tilting head.
