Great value and KitchenAid quality

This is an upgrade from my 1st KitchenAid (that I've had for over 20 yrs and still works like the day it was purchased from Sam's!!). I love the power of this Professional 5 Plus model. The powerful motor is great for denser cookie and bread doughs. I also like having a 2nd 3Qt bowl and whisk. Great value for the additional accessories. I had a difficult time deciding on a color choice. All were nice and I settled on the Chrome. It looks great on my kitchen counter! I'll pull out my original mixer when my chef daughter and I get down to some serious holiday baking!! :)

Needed this mixer to replace my 45 year old Kitchen Aid K5 that finally gave up. Love the new wider bowl, but the slow-start is going to take some getting used to. The sound the motor makes is a high pitched whine that i do not like at all. Doubt that I will ever get used to the sound. The work the mixer performs is outstanding. Very little bowl scraping is necessary. I love that. All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase.

Too difficult to maneuver

While this mixer was an excellent value,I will be returning the mixer and purchasing an Artisan model. I had purchased this mixer as a gift for my daughter as she liked the copper color. I received the Artisan model as a gift. When we compared the two side by side Christmas morning, the extra work involved in removing and attaching the bowl on the professional model was not appealing. I can't imagine if the bowl was filled with batter or a liquid how much more tedious the task would be. I suppose if you are baking professionally and require more power in a mixer then this model is necessary. However, for everyday use the Artisan is much more user friendly.

Smaller bowl and whisk NOT compatible with Model

When my mixer first arrived, I was checking to make sure everything was working properly with the attachments. The 3 quart bowl and combi-whip that is included in the bundle were scraping the bowl pretty badly, even when the beater was raised to the highest setting. I thought something was wrong with the mixer. However, I checked out the manual and the 3 quart bowl and combi-whip aren't compatible with the mixer (it lists compatible mixers on the manual, KP25 is NOT one of them. They are KB26, KD26, KG25, KP26, KT26, KV25, 4KG25, 4KP26, 4KT26, and 4KV25). Sam's Club gave me a refund but please beware that the 3 qrt bowl and mini whisk are NOT compatible with the mixer model this comes with. I don't understand how other people are using these together… Your whisk should not be scraping the bowls. At all.

Works well but LOUD

We've had a KitchenAid stand mixer for many years, and when it recently began having some issues, I had to decide whether to repair or replace it. That's when I saw the great Black Friday deal on this mixer. When we received it, I noticed a few things that were "cheaper" than my previous mixer, such as a lack of easy access to replace the motor brushes. Also, this mixer is NOISY...like very noisy. I may actually call KitchenAid and see if there is a problem - I can't imagine that this is normal.

Wish come true

I had a Kitchenaid mixer I got in the early 70s, which I finally quit using because the bowl and beaters were so wobbly. Wanted one of these and waited till the the price was low enough to justify. Then I splurged and got a couple of attachments (grinder and pasta roller). Used the grinder and mixer to make my famous Polish nut roll for Christmas. I am in love. Only two complaints. I found my other one difficult to take in and out of the cupboard because it was heavy--this is even heavier. Gonna have to find a place to keep it on the counter. Second, when I was using the grinder attachment, I had to use a step because it was so tall. Despite these flaws, I still love it. Looking forward to doing more cooking!

SAVE THE BOX!!!!!!

You MUST have the actual UPC code for the rebate or forget it. If you don't cut the original off the box, you will be denied your rebate. The only option if you didn't save the box is to return it to Sam's Club for a new one and get a new box. SHOULD be advertised as such but it is not. It's fine print on the rebate form which you must download from KitchenAid. This information is NOT included in the packaging or in the Sam's Club ads or signage in the store.

Unacceptable package received

I was sent a used blender. Opened mixer out of the box and pieces seemed just thrown in the box plus the cord had flour residue on it and the bowl had dried batter on it. I did speak with a supervisor and she was truly empathetic and understanding about how unacceptable this was. I'm not sure what went wrong during the quality check before sending out packages but I am absolutely flabbergasted. I will not be ordering anything anymore.

I received the mixer very soon after I ordered but

When we took the mixer out of the box I immediately read the instructions and found that we needed to adjust the beater so it wouldn't rest on the side or bottom of the bowl. We turned the screw 1/2 turn as instructed and it was still resting on the bottom. I called customer service at Kitchen Aid, and after trying to turn the screw farther, unsuccessfully, I got instructions on how to send it back to the company. It will be 6 weeks plus before I should expect a replacement. I plan to return the replacement to Sam's for a refund. With Christmas baking without a stand mixer, using a hand mixer, I discovered I could actually get used to the hand mixer. Maybe I just don't need the Kitchen Aid. I received the mixer as a gift.
