[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 4.5 quart KitchenAid that has been going strong for 35+ years. This machine has a much better dough hook and the bowl handle is helpful. However, it frequently fails to start on first try and doesn't whip cream as well as my old one. I'm not sure the advantages were worth the cost.

I love that it does the mixing and kneading for you while you can continue working on something else. It mixed everything perfectly. My husband used it the other day to make mashed potatoes and he fell in love with the mixer, too.

We've used it to make cookies, added the chopping attachment that speeds up cooking prep a ton, allowing us to make more ambitious meals on a work night (plus it's fun to drop the veggies in and see them go thunk thunk in the bowl)! I'm looking forward to a lifetime of marriage, and a lifetime of Kitchen aid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got my mixer 2 weeks ago and was excited to start whipping up desserts with it. The quality of the Kitchen Aid is wonderful, but I find the lifting bowl to be a bit cumbersome when adding ingredients. I really wish I would have gotten the tilt head stand mixer. It also seems hard to find attachments for the Professional 5, like the flex edge beater and the attachment for adding ingredients.

I have always wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer. This deal was too good to pass up and I got a Christmas present a bit early. I have used it and have never been able to mix dough as easily with other mixers. This is a gem. I absolutely love it!!!! My only complaint is it is a bit heavy.

I purchase the apple green mixer because my kitchen is done in that color, and it is bright and beautiful! I have used this mixer almost everyday since I've gotten it, and it is really nice. I like the bowl lift feature as it makes getting the attachments on and off very easily. It is a very heavy mixer, but I'm sure will last throughout my years. Just a side note: If you're looking to get a mixing shield also, save your money, I have tried three different ones, and none of them fit for this mixer for some reason.
