My KitchenAid Stand Mixer was one of the best purchases I have made! I have used it everyday since I have received it. The first day I mixed cake mix and then icing (I had to do a three teir cake), then I made chocolate chip cookies, bread, cupcakes, etc. It does nicely with any kind of batter and mixes evenly. It is a lot better than using a standard hand mixer or other stand mixers that do not mix as well. Overall I love my KitchenAid!

I cannot say enough good things about this mixer! It is SO powerful! I was using a MixMaster brand and am blown away by the difference. I also ordered the scraper beater, and don't have to stop the mixing process at all to scrape down the bowl. It reaches the whole bowl easily, and even keeps things from sticking to the dimple at the bottom. To get the consistency that took about 15 minutes (and nearly constant scraping) with my previous mixer now takes about 3 - 5 minutes. The lift-bowl stays in place well, and there's plenty of room to add ingredients with the bowl up. Small recipes look tiny in the 5-quart bowl, and it can be challenging to knead a small batch of dough thoroughly with the dough hook. I've not had any trouble with the beater or whip while making smaller batches, so it seems worth it to me to have the larger bowl. Pasta, bread, even chocolate chip cookie dough are quick and easy tasks for this machine. I have no trouble keeping the machine in place while it does these heavy jobs, it is the workhorse you expect it to be. Although it has an auto shut-down if the mixer overheats, I don't think it's something that would get much use; my mixer barely feels warm even after quite a bit of use. The machine is beautiful, the finish is easy to clean, and the Copper Pearl finish is just gorgeous. I felt a bit guilty spending this much on a mixer, but now that it's in use, I know it was an excellent investment. Highly, highly recommend!

This was actually my 1st stand-mixer & although it's a expensive piece of kitchen equipment it's WORTH EVERY PENNY because it effortlessly mixes up everything from lightweight Greek yogurt with fruit all the way to very dense mixtures like big bowls of mashed potatoes.It whips my mashed potatoes into a truly lovely light creamy texture in UNDER 3 minutes.I use it regularly because it's just so useful & it's built like a mini tank...Yet it's so lovely looking that I always have it on my granite countertop instead of put away in a cabinet,it actually looks nice in my kitchen.It's also fairly quiet while running too & it's extremely stable,it never wobbles during use.For most people this is a big purchase but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND saving your money for a few months if you have to in order to get 1 of these marvelous mixers...It's a small appliance with the power & durability of a large kitchen appliance,you won't regret getting 1.(:

Got the blue mixer and it is beautiful. Only draw back is for the price and quality why aren't the blades and whisk machine washable? They are easily washable though.

Wish the mixing bowl was bigger and the adjustment to raise and lower the attachments is not an exact science, mine still would not reach the bottom of the mixing bowl when adjusted to the lowest setting which required some hand mixing to get all the ingredients on the bottom thoroughly mixed. Overall I really like it.

I received this mixer as a gift and haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I've borrowed a friend's KitchenAid mixer before and really like it. I still think that they are a little pricey, but I got a great deal on this one on black Friday and couldn't pass it up. I really like the silver color and look forward to making lots of homemade cookies, breads, cinnamon rolls and cakes. I wish that this model came with the splash guard, however.

Since then, I have not been disappointed with the purchase. It is a work horse and makes baking and cooking so much easier.

I have wanted one of these for years and have looked at KitchenAid stand mixers from several different vendors, and this is definitely the best deal. I love that it is the heavy duty model. Worked great and really helped make Christmas dinner easier to make!
