Never before have I been disappointed with

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got it for xmas, it looked so kewl but once I tired it on more then a few different items, and nothing cut. Was going to return think'n it might have been an isolated bad unit, but as I was cleaning to box up, someone was helping me clean up and stepped on a small piece so now i'm stuck..........

Makes you cook it’s so cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited to use this product and now I’m thinking of new ways to use this daily. Tried various fruits and veggies to test it out and suddenly my kid was all interested in eating! Like that I didn’t have to pre peel anything and it’s cuts it all in one continuous link. the thick was the kids favorite for apples, but I like the cut on thick for potatoes and zucchinni. For safety the blade won’t get too close to your food so it does leave a middle core. But that leaves very little behind. Use of the part was super simple, only tip I have is install the black piece on to the attachment first then hook on your food. I really feel like I was missing out and love the ideas I’m having to utilize it. Plus kid friendly fruits and veggie was a hidden plus

Neat Kitchen Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for sheeting apples, potatoes, zucchini and cucumber. Quick and easy once you get the hang of it. We made zucchini lasagna right after set up and it was wonderful. Once thing we noticed is it sheets better if the vegetables are cold instead of room temperature.

Sweet sheet cutter

Received this a couple weeks ago Got all kinds of veggies and fruits. It sheets zucchini, apples, squashes, cucumbers with perfection. I wish it would do radishes. I imagine if I get the thicker longer ones it might work. I was happy the way it DID NOT sheet into the seeded part. I really want to try it on harder fruits like plums, nectarines and even peaches and when I do Ill be sure to write again. Oh can you imagine the yummy desserts you could make if it works out. I had fun with this. It is a wonderful way of making elegant and just good, fun things to eat. The blades... the thin is thin and the thick is thick. So EASY to clean. EASY to use! Love this sheet cutter

Works, but with limitations and waste

We are on low carb diets and frequently replace pasta with eggplant and zucchini. This attachment works well on a large, fat zucchini fresh from my garden, but I have had no luck with eggplant -- too soft such that the skewer just spins inside the veggie. I will try one more time by first peeling the eggplant and then VERY SLOWLY allowing the blade to contact the vegetable to see if that makes a difference. Waste is also a problem, because a cylinder of veggie about 3/4 inch thick remains when the device has finished cutting off the sheet. One must plan ahead as to how one can use the left over cylinder to avoid wasting it. Also, you can reduce waste by selecting fatter specimens of a veggie and specimens of a length close to 4 1/2 inches or a whole multiple thereof. I can allow zukes to grow to the appropriate size in my garden before harvesting them, but most store bought zukes tend to be too small and of the wrong length to be used efficiently.

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item is amazing. I’ve wanted to start getting some add-ons for my kitchenaid for a while and this is my first. First thing I noticed is how solidly made this is. Just like the mixer itself. There is a thin and a thick blade. Just to test it out I put a potato in there and thin sliced it. I could totally use this to make some awesome potato chips. I’m also going to start using this to make wraps from zucchini. This is an attachment I recommend to anyone that is a fruit and vegetable lover.

Works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works exactly as advertised. Cute one large apple into one twelve foot sheet. Thrilled that set up was so simple and that all pieces fit back in storage box. Love my kitchenaide mixer and sheet cutter.

Never have gotten it to work, waste of time & $

I bought this 6 months ago and tried to do cucumbers, resulting in a sloppy mess. Just tried it again with zucchini, thinking I would have better luck. The guides are horrible, hard to follow. For the special zucchini instructions, i could never get the blade in, and then the spinning just tore up the vegetable. No sheet, not one, ever. could have done better by hand. Don't waste your money or your time on this. Kitchen Aid promises video tutorials but they don't exist on the site.

BAD design flaw. Not enough yield. DISAPPOINTED!

I bought this as a holiday present for my husband, he tried using it for the first time tonight and was very disappointed. He used it with an almost 2 inch diameter zucchini and the blade didn't get close enough to the zucchini to yield any good results, and stopped when there was still more than half of the vegetable left, only peeling about half of the peel, not even getting to the good parts of it. This is a major design flaw. There should be a separate "core" attachment when doing fruits or vegetables that have an inedible core; otherwise, you end up having to use a million zucchini's for one lasagna and you have a lot of food waste as well, unless you save what's left for a different recipe. VERY disappointing for the amount of money spent.
