To hard to get apart

I bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace my original mini food processor. It is too hard to get the bowl unscrewed from the machine. When I tried to remove the lid (and there aren't instructions- so you have to log on to kitchenaid.com and watch the video to figure it out) it was so tight the black piece came only came off. Thankfully it didn't break! Kitchenaid- you over engineered it that I can't even get the thing open. I own most of your products but this is being returned. Extremely dissatisfied.

Extremely convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a gift and as a person who uses fresh vegetables a lot when cooking, this food chopper has cut down my prep down by so much. Not only is it fast, but it's precise and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Definitely recommend purchasing.

Small in size … big in service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a few weeks ago to replace 20 year old cuisinart which we loved. Worried we wouldn't find a replacement we liked as well. Love this new appliance. Compact when it comes to counter space but does everything we ask if it. Powerful with blade so sharp it took few days for us to stop liquifying everything. The pulse with thumb control is easy to use. Like that the blade is easily removed to dump contents into bowl without a mess. Cleanup also fast and easy. Couldn't be happier with my choice.

Poor quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was almost impossible to use the first time. Vague directions and very stiff parts. Spent thirty minutes trying to get it open and off. But the part that's really concerning is the blade is defective. It has a bent tip.

Powerful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chopper is awesome. It's compact but extremely powerful. It has two settings shop or purée and it works extremely quickly. I also love that you can wrap the cord around the base of it so you don't have to worry about that when you're trying to store it.

It's like have a little helper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kitchen aid chopper was a big help for the holidays. I was able to cut my cooking time in half just. It chopped my vegetables perfectly in seconds. The only thing I found difficult was opening and closing the top. Even though it looks easy to use, I do recommend reading instructions before using. It look us a while to figure out how to start it until we read the instructions. Push down on the top handle.

Iconic Brand performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a degree in foodservice, cooking is a part of my happiness. This food processor continues that joy. Easy to use, super fast and efficient, and also importantly -- easy to clean! It has been a welcome addition to my kitchen.

SO DISAPPOINTED

This is the perfect size for my needs. Had a different brand for many years. Used it for the first time for Tday recipe. Now cannot remove the blade from the container or the container from the base. It is unmovable. Even my 30 yr old 6ft 5in strong son could not budge it. I am hoping it is a defective unit but I can't even clean it to return it. Won't buy another...one just in case.

Cheap design, unsanitary, made to fail.

My husband and I cook a lot. We've used an ancient little 2 cup cuisinart forever and love it, we use it just about every single day. For almost every meal, we use it to make a salsa, or fine chop herbs, or a sauce, or crush nuts, whatever. That means it needs to get cleaned every day, maybe a couple times. The ancient cuisinart bowl, blade, and lid were as simple as can be, a quick soapy sponge wipe got everything. THIS chopper was never designed by someone who does dishes. It would be impossible to get clean by hand, and we're just simple peasants without a machine. The lid is full of creases, crevices, pockets, channels, nooks, crannies, and for the life of me I can't figure out why there are multiple parts to the lid- a black ring goes over the clear lid, it does not come off despite there being several compartment areas, hinges, and pieces in there, so turns the entire lid into a food, moisture, and bacteria trap. The more I look at it the crazier it gets. Just a maze of crevices, I can't believe anybody designed it without realizing how unsanitary it is. It would take an absurd amount of time to clean it as best as possible by hand, but you will never actually get it clean. Disgusting. I am really disappointed in such a huge oversight by this company- not everybody has a dish washing machine, why would they make this thing virtually impossible to clean by hand? The operating design is also, frankly, quite stupid- there's minuscule little plastic bits on the handle that need to compress to turn the motor on, instead of- I don't know, a switch? A dial? A button? And goodness knows, nobody's ever broken a sprinkle-sized piece of plastic that sticks off a bowl in a kitchen ever!

Horrible Purchase

I have had the Kitchen Aid for a few months . Maybe used it 5 or 6 times and now it no longer turns on. I double and triple checked it was assembled properly. Made sure to try it on different electrical sockets and still nothing. Extremely Dissapointed in this purchase. I also can not get anyone on the phone through customer service.
