I absolutely love utilizing this compact chopper to mince garlic and onion, to puree vegetables for my soup and to crush cookies for my desserts. Simply load up desired goods into the bowl with stainless blade, put lid on and choose power options-- from chop to puree. It's super easy to control how fine food items become by utilizing the slider knob setting and by pulsing, if needed. This unit is simple to clean out and super compact for convenient storage. Components are high quality. An absolute kitchen lifesaver!

I used to be the 'onion cutter' in my family because I had contacts and it didn't bother me to give them a little dice. Well about 2 years ago I had corrective eye surgery and no longer have to wear contacts. Cutting onions for the first time was brutal and any time after I try to avoid like the plague. This little chopper has changed it all. It's just the right size and so easy to use. I only have to have onion exposure for a few second while I quarter them and then 'in you go'! It chops them to the perfect consistency and saves me a lot of tears and my family a lot of dramatic belly aching on account of me. Love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Things I like about this food chopper: easy to pour water or oil from the top without having to open the lid, heavy base for stability, pulse function at the handle, easy to switch between chop and puree with one click. Things I wish it's better: it's not powerful enough, the blades are reasonable but again not the best chopping power, the cord can be longer, it's not easy to separate the body from the base.

My son just started purees and I have been using this KitchenAid Food Chopper to make homemade fruit and vegetable purees for him. It works so well and it is easy to clean. Some of the parts are top rack dishwasher safe, but I have just been hand washing it myself. You do have to be careful since the blade is sharp, though! The size is perfect and doesn't take up much storage space. I would highly recommend this to others.

I can easily combine all my vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients in one place and simply chop or blend. I often struggle with large food processers because the blade isn't low enough to chop all the ingredients. This little chopper is the answer! I used to own a large chopper but got rid of it since my blender can do most things and I wanted to save space. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAide food chopper is easy to use, light weight and a lot smaller than other products. It has two settings chopped and purree. However, the chopped is very finely chopped so be aware of then when using. It's also really fast.
