Blade spiralizer

I brought the spiralizer some time ago. I was given apples and decided to bake a pie or turn the apples into apple sauce. Instead of hand peeling the apples I decided to use the spiralizer: quick ,fast and to some degree kitchen fun. The spiralizer was great and the pie/apple sauce was delicious. The spiralizer is easy to use once you put it together. Great for some one who has difficulty using their hands. Cut down on cutting, peeling fruits & vegetables.

Cores and peels apples in seconds - I'm in love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had spiralizers previously but this one is so much better! It cores and peels apples in seconds, it spiralizes all different sized spirals in seconds also and it wastes less of the zucchini /veggies. My manual spiralizer - u would always have to waste an end of the zucchini (like 1/4 of it) and the spirals were so thin they were almost like shavings. This attachment makes for real thick robust spirals in seconds. U do have to cut off the ends of the veg but it spirals entire veg instead of wasting the end. What a great gift from my bf! I give it 4 stars rather than 5 stars bc it's pricey compared to ur standard spiralizer or food processor at about $75, but u sure do get what u pay for!

Marvelous!

At first, the appearance of this "gadget in a box" was a bit daunting. However, after staring at it a moment, I proceeded to the task at hand. Mesmerizing to watch it! I spiraled and sliced everything that would hold still! I also used my Kitchenaid blender to "rice" the spirals to use as a substitute rice dish - delightful! A wonderful addition to my humble kitchen. Word to the wise: watch the videos on this website first. The blades are VERY sharp and need to be handled properly.

Game changer for our kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is another amazing KitchenAid product. It is simple and powerful and creates beautiful food products. Our kids have actually enjoyed eating zucchini spaghetti. The apple slicer and peeler has been perfect. Great job with this product

Would not buy again

This product should not be advertised to do sweet potato noodles. After one use, the prongs on the vegetable skewer broke off into the sweet potato. Also the skewer itself detached from the plastic holder. Otherwise, excellent for softer veggies. Will look into buying a replacement part if available. Do not see as an available part.

Very easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this spiralizer to use for zucchini and potatoes. I really like the appliance, but the blades seem to bend easily, and now one of them is bent. I followed the directions of putting the vegetables on and setting the speed to 4, so I'm a little disappointed that the blade is bent. Other than that, it's so much easier than using a peeler by hand to make zucchini noodles

BEST ATTACHMENT EVER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this attachment before I even had my mixer. I finally bought it after a year of having my mixer. It is my favorite attachment so far. It is so easy, and mesmerizing to watch. It is perfect for apple pie slices, and home made curly fries!

Some Veg More Difficult Than Others

I was so excited to see that KitchenAid made a spiralizer attachment as I have difficulty doing veg like butternut squash on my manual spiralizer. Sadly, I could not spiralize it using the KitcheAid either! The fruit and vegetable skewer spun around, making a hole in the squash, and the blade got bent. I had a similar experience when trying a sweet potato. Better luck with beets and zucchini though. I am happy that I got it as it does make really fast work of the zucchini, but for the price and given the metal construction, I would have thought this would have been able to handle the butternut just fine. I love KitchenAid products, but would be hesitant to recommend to others until the spinning-skewer is sorted out.

:(

I think I've spent as much money in potatoes as everyone seems to need to have a go round to see if they can figure this out. The blade doesn't make contact with the sweet potato or potato, depending on user's choice. Of course, everyone has to verify that the blade is right. It was. The holder isn't strong enough to hold the veggie as it just spins. First kitchen aid product I've purchased that I'm not happy with. I gave it five stars for features, the features are great, they just don't work! Guess I'm done you tubing and trouble shooting. It will be returned.

Peeler does not work on potatoes

I was so disappointed when I attempted to use my new attachment to peel potatoes for Christmas dinner. The product simply does not work. I read the directions and watched multiple youtube videos to ensure I was using it properly. I hope this issue is fixed in the future.
