No more peeling!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used my peeler/spiralizer a few times and it is fantastic! I love that I can spiralize different sizes. I've made apple noodles for pancakes and curly fries. And peeling is a breeze. There's a little learning curve but it's a time saver and the kids love it! I love it too!

Making zoodles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the spiralizer so I could make zoodles. It does a good job making the spirals. A couple of things I don't like. If the zucchini is bigger and a little seedier all it does is squish in where the seeds are. Won't spiralize. Also when it starts getting down to the end it makes big clumps that get stuck between the blade and the casing. Other than that I think it is great. Saved me from having to do it by hand with a crank.

Excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my spiralizer with peel, core and slicer. I find myself making and serving so many more veggies and fruit, because of the convenience of how it cuts them up. Would highly recommend. Worth every penny!!!!

Super Easy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only tried this with Zucchinni. Previously, I fought with a small, terrible spiralizer that was cheap plastic. This had transformed my sprilalizing career! Super easy to use, easy to clean up. Wish I had found this sooner!

1st Generation model needs a little tweak

My wife, who works at a culinary store, purchased a plastic spiralizer about a month and a half ago. At first the product was great but the plastic was weak on it and any hard vegetables made it difficult to handle the extra torque needed to spiralize them. One example being butternut squash. This is just a great vegetable as a "noodle." Once my wife saw this attachment, and knowing how I disliked the plastic, hand crank model, she purchased me this all metal, powered version. I was blown away by it. It handles zucchini, apples, cucumbers, perfectly. Then I tried the butternut squash. I was planning on making a butternut squash "noodle" and pork yakisoba. Well, I noticed the only flaw that I have seen with this product. The skewer that spins the vegetable to let the blades spiralize it just isn't big enough. Although the stand mixer has the power to handle the torque needed to cut the vegetable, the skewer doesn't have enough surface area to grip enough of the vegetable to allow that torque to be used; the skewer ended up tearing up that end of the squash. The skewer's diameter is about an inch and a half. There is plenty of room on the attachment to accommodate a larger diameter skewer, something in the range of a 3 inch diameter piece would be nice. Kitchenaid designed the skewer to be easily attached and removed. Kitchenaid, if you are out there and listening, you've made a great product. All the blades included and the peeler work great. How about you include another, larger diameter skewer along with the smaller one?? That way it gives this attachment all the advantages over any other spiralizer out on the market.

Does it's job pretty well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids and I were excited to try this out. We eat a lot of zucchini noodles and spiralized apples. Over all it did a great job but definitely had issues with potatoes. I tried all attachment sizes and they came out more straight than curly. Not a big deal but not what I was expecting. Also, if the potatoes are too lump it will have some issues. Overall I really love it. It's easy to clean and easy to use.

Very Disappointing Attachment!

I bought this attachment to easily make apple pies. The first apple processed quickly and perfectly but the blade to peel the apple broke when I tried to do the second apple. The blade is now loose and does not click into its housing to hold it secured. I expected much better quality than this! It's going back asap. Very disappointed!!

Disappointed

I'm disappointed in the functionality of the spiralizer, which happened to be my first attachment purchase...I feel a hand spiralizer works much better AND is cheaper. I have the most trouble with potatoes - the cut is inconsistent, sometimes the potato breaks off and frequently as much as 1/4 of the potato is left behind. I also find the peeling function for fruits and veggies to be hit or miss.

Good for apples!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great on firm fruit but some apples may be too large. If they are close then the peeler helps to reduce the size for the corer and slicer. Spiralizing the zucchini or cucumbers was so so. Some of them spun on the center holding device and that stopped them from turning. Easy clean up and come in a nice sturdy storage box for everything.

Love this machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace my 20 year old kitchen aid that died. I was not in the market, was very upset as I loved my pink mixer but after calling to chat with a rep she was great. Addressed my issues, guided me to the purchase of the new mixer. I ended up upgrading as my cooking needs changed. I'm so happy with my bowl lift mixer and the attachments are wonderful
