We are sorry that your dogs did not like the beef flavor but glad to hear that they like the chicken. The beef are far and away the better selling item but dogs are like people with different preferences. We can tell you that it is not a varnish but a flavor ‘dip’ to help the flavor more deeply penetrate the roll. We do not have any reports of staining fabrics for either flavor but understand your concern. Finally all three items (plain, beef, and chicken) are made by the same company in the same factory with the same high quality materials.

We are sorry to hear that your dog did not like the product. As with all Sams Club items, you can return any unused portion for a complete refund. Dogs are oftentimes like people where sometimes it just isn't something they are in the mood for but in general rawhide is extremely palatable and one of their favorite ways to occupy themselves and improve their dental health.
