Because of doing more cooking at home with the pandemic and opening way too many cans with arthritis creeping in, I decided I needed a new can opener. I have to be honest and say this was the only one available. I LOVE IT. It is so easy to use. Rather than leave it on the counter, it is compact enough to store in a convenient cabinet.

I recently had rotator cuff surgery and could not use my dominant hand For nearly a month. This Specific can opener was heavy enough where it didn’t move, (very stable) and I was able to handle it and open cans with one hand, which was awesome‼️ it’s the little things that you’re concerned about when you can’t do them.

The can opener is very smart looking on the counter, very sturdy and hs never tipped over. It cleans up easily and does a good job removing lids. There is a little learning curve involved; the first time I used it I slopped bean juice all over the counter trying to get the can and lid off the machine. Now I've learned to keep a firm grip on both things and I'm completely happy with it.

This can opener works well, but there are 2 flaws. The first one is the cut edges are very jagged and dangerous. The second is the cutting blade comes off too easily. When you remove the can, the whole apparatus comes apart. It is very inconvenient when you have multiple cans to open.

I have a hard time opening cans. It doesn’t always grab on the can the right way as it grabs the paper on the can and then won’t spin to open. Once I get the paper pulled away it is ok. I’m still happy with it as I have been diagnosed with authoritis in my hand and it was hard using a manual. I chose Cusinnart because I have purchased other Cusinart small appliances and have been pleased plus the stainless look fits right in my kitchen!

This thing is a piece of junk, period. Pieces constantly fall off when you move it. It opens cans an inch at a time then drops them. That is if it even starts opening the can to begin with. My final straw was Thanksgiving day, I had to use a handheld can opener because it would have taken an hour to open all the cans with this piece of garbage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my new can opener for about a month now, I do like it. But there is a learning curve from my old one. Once I learn the trick on where to place the can onto the blade the first time all will be good. Easy to remove and clean the blade and reassemble, love that part.

I bought this a few months ago. It was one of the most expensive so I thought it would be great. Boy was I wrong! It works fine sometimes but others it gets hung up and won’t turn or cut the lid. I’m about ready to go back to a hand crank can opener. It’s got to work better than this one!

This is a nice, sturdy can opener. While I like the feature where you can let go of the can once you get it started and it will automatically stop, BEWARE! If it isn’t on exactly it drops the can during the process. Of course it only happens with something especially messy like tomato sauce.

I think it was great while it lasted. Which wasn't long for a ridiculously expensive can opener!! Bought for my in-laws who needed something easy to use due to arthritis. Now I'm out over $50 and they need a new can opener. Again. Use metal on the inside, too, Cuisinart!!
