I had to return this can opener. After working a few times, it started to only cut sporadically around the top, leaving me to use a hand crank opener to finish the job. It also cut narrow ribbons of curled metal that fell into the food in the can. Something was very wrong with it. I ended up buy one that cuts under the top lip and leaves no sharp edges. Think twice before buying this product.

I can not recommend this can opener to anyone. After a relatively mild use the can opener stopped working. The motor worked fine but the cutting mechanism would no longer opens cans. From what I understand the cheapest version of this can opener works better than this high end version

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old can opener was close to three decades old… I decided to update and repurpose the old one. I am so glad that I did because the new Cuisinart does everything so smoothly and it catches the lid of the can so there’s less of a mess.

Didn’t have very long and the lever mechanism broke inside. This is a very heavy can opener and works great, but I don’t understand why they didn’t make the lever gear out of metal. This opener is a little expensive for being just an opener so I think that could have been a little better.

First of all, let me wipe away my tears of joy over how much I love this can opener before I get started here. Its making it hard to type. Life has enough challenges without the ability to easily open cans. Like doing my job from home while raising 2 kids. Remote kindergarten while on conference calls, etc. Giant rocks and counter tops proved effective for opening cans, but in the end this can opener just plain out made this a simple process. And thats what we all need. Little tiny vacations like a nice can opener to make quarantine life go smoothly. The blade on this thing is so sharp that I took my ring doorbell down because intruders are so scared of coming near this opener. All things considered, I would recommend to a friend.

This is my second opener of this model. The first one stopped working after about ten years. I bought another like it because it was so easy to use. The only problem with this second one is the handle comes off in my hand every time I use it. The older one never did this.

This was a replacement after buying two defective openers. This one is better, but not great! It wobbles when opening large cabs like a tin of tomatoes. It grabs the label at times on the big cabs, then stalls! Sorry Cuisinart, but you need to do better than this!

I love my can opener. It's very modern looking in stainless steel. I don't like plastic products. It works really well and makes a nice clean cut on a can. I've gone through so many electric can openers and said that I would never get another one but now I have arthritis in my hands and wrists and it was really hard to get a can open so I bought a new one. I love it ! I know with the Cuisinart name, it will last a long time.

We love it!! We threw away the handcrank old school opener as my moms hands are more arthritic, and now she has trigger fingers. So i bought thus beautfully dedigned small profile electric can opener. Its works great, holds onto the can without dropping it even after the lid is off. You just press and this stainless steel electric opener runs on its own once activated. Functional utilitarian and beautiful. Highly rec. Mom approved. It really saves her hands and cuts out one frustration due to aging.

Great little can opener. I have RA and started to struggle opening cans. This electric can opener saved my hands lots of pain. Works great, very easy to clean, looks good enough to keep on the counter because it’s stainless steel and even opens big cans. I’m really happy with it.
