Let’s start with the cutting assembly; it comes off too easily. Once finished cutting there is no guarantee that it will hold the open can until you release it. It often drops the open can on the counter! The only thing going for it is that it is good looking on the countertop.

I am very satisfied with the operation of this can opener! It also looks good on my counter. I spent the extra money on this opener because I wanted the metal handle, not plastic like the cheaper models! It also has a 3 year warranty! Has opened every can I’ve thrown at it no problem.

This opens small cans easily and cleanly but will not open large cans which is a disappointment! It's sleek design looks nice on the counter top and is heavy enough not to tip over when in operation. I just wish for a can opener that will open up LARGE cans as I am elderly and have a lot of trouble using a hand-held opener.

I bought this can opener because I had owned 2 prior to this. I love Cuisinsart products. But this particular one opens cans efficiently but does not leave them on the magnet and they drop the can and spill the contents. I must be careful when using this can opener but will continue to do so because of the ease and speed with which it opens cans

The can opener is very smart looking on the counter, very sturdy and hs never tipped over. It cleans up easily and does a good job removing lids. There is a little learning curve involved; the first time I used it I slopped bean juice all over the counter trying to get the can and lid off the machine. Now I've learned to keep a firm grip on both things and I'm completely happy with it.

As we age many things begin to be harder to do, opening cans is one of them. This electric can opener is very easy to use and requires a minimum of effort. With a minimum of parts and easy to disassemble for cleaning. Being stainless steel is a bonus. The foot print is not BIG, it is adequate for stability. The unit looks very nice on the counter top but is easy to hide away.

Shreads the paper around the can and if it’s a heavy can (such as beans), it doesn’t hang on to it as it advertized. It dropped the can and it dumped the contents all over my countertop. Easy to use and opens well, but support the cans yourself. I learned the hard way.

I purchased an electric can opener. Cuisinart is a top rated appliance. I had recently purchased another major brand and wad highly dissatisfied with it. It was hard to get it to open a can and it never opened it correctly. I read the reviews of the Cuisinart and almost everyone gave it 5 stars. The Cuisinart is very quiet along with doing what it is supposed to do--open cans easily.

I have owned this for a couple of years and it continues to perform well. There is a minor flaw that needs to be addressed but other than that this is the best electric can opener ever. It is heavy duty and made very well. Now to the flaw. The arm lever that activates the power does not have a stop point. You can easily push down and the can opener may stop are not work correctly. I had the part replaced under warranty to only discover it is not the part but the design of the on off button. I simply applied a felt pad to the back of the lever. This gives the on off button a thicker and wider surface to contact. Problem solved.

Wife wanted a new can opener - and I'm Glade I came upon this one stainless - very good quality went into the design, & build of this opener. Has some heft to it & large base for stability - tall enough to open quart size can without tilting to get into opener and you don't even have to hold the can while opening - QUALITY
