Great!

I use sweeteners usually in combination with lemon lime water to lose weight, so after hearing some risks in sucralose, I decided to give this product a try. When the bag was shipped, it had a hole in the bag which left fine specks all over the floor and counteracts. Which makes it all the more noticeable when you hear the crunch going over it with a wheelchair. But that is more a fault of shipping, and maybe not the brand or company itself. The initial taste impression I tried with the stuff itself was not sweet at all. In fact, it barely had a taste at all. I persisted that perhaps it just needs more of it to taste sweet. So my next taste I grabbed a whole tablespoon and got the sweetness. I was okay with the product then, and looked at a conversion chart online to find that 1 and 1/3 of a cup of this is the same as a cup of sugar. I used extra in my lemon lime water. The taste in my lemon lime water was awful immediately. Rather than the sweet lemon-limeade flavor I get with Splenda, this tasted like a totally flat Sprite with a terrible after taste. It is bad, because I make this drink in half gallon portions I drink through the day while I intermittent fast. The only positive is that it does not cause any blood sugar spikes in my case, so there's that, but I never had a problem with Splenda either. I have only tried the product in a cold drink, so I can't attest for the performance in baking or in a hot drink. Maybe it will be better in tea or when using as ingredient in cookies, but this first impression leaves me knowing I will never use this for the intended purpose. My advice, stick with Splenda, as compared to this, will be worth the small percentage of issues. Try monk fruit or any other alternatives if you want sweetener without the sucralose of Splenda.

I've been using sugar substitutes lately and so far I've been please with most of them even though they aren't sugar like sweet. For me personally this one was a hard nope because it has a weird throughout taste. I know exactly what it is from. Since this sweetener is made from alcohol it gives off a distinct unpleasant taste that usually alcohol has that is generally masked. Overall I can't recommend this.

Erythritol itself is actually one of the best tasting sugar alternatives. However, this product is HIGHLY TOXIC AND DEADLY to dogs, cats and animals. As their livers cannot process erythritol the same as humans. PLEASE help educate people so that the senseless deaths of pets can be avoided at all cost.

Tasteless, doesn't sweeten

I have been a sugar substitute consumer practically from birth. This stuff doesn't dissolve easily. It isn't very sweet at all. I would try something else and am sorry I purchased 4 lbs of it to start.

Opened the bag....has a very functional zip-lock feature. Inside were large to mediums clumps of sparkly crystals. Tried it with my morning coffee. I usually use Stevia. I stopped at 1/4 cup...still ZERO TASTE!!!!

I was hopeful when this product poured freely from a sugar container, The hopes were dashed when after putting 6 teaspoons in my coffee it was as if I had put nothing in at all. I tasted some and the sweetness lasted a second and was gone. Please bring back Pyure
