We bought a new coffee grinder and bought all of the different whole bean coffee available at Sam's Club. This is by far the worst. I thought maybe it was because it appeared cheaper, but it requires more coffee than other beans. While I will agree it's not the most bitter, the flavor is earthy-dirty. The color comes out muddy. I would not call this a medium-dark roast at all, just a dull medium. We've been mixing these beans with others to use them up and mask the flavor.

I bought this coffee in whole bean, since there were so many great reviews. I grind my own coffee in a burr grinder. No matter what was in the previous reviews for this coffee, I found that the coffee had almost. no coffee taste. The bag indicates using from one to two tablespoons per cup. Even at two tablespoons per cup the taste was very weak. I thought that this would be a “gourmet” coffee as stated on the bag, and might save me a little bit of money. But, when I brewed up the bag trying different proportions, I found that this coffee costs more per brewed cup than Starbucks or Seattle and still never developed the flavor of the other coffees. I guess that I’ll have to be the lone dissenter.

This stuff is TERRIBLE! I know taste is a personal thing but I'm amazed at what a good rating this item has. I actually came to get a laugh at the reviews only to find that it is liked!! Mt Comfort is better than this stuff and it taste like baby poo smells. It is the worst coffee I have bought at Sam's in 15 years.

I'm sorry, but Pablo should take no pride in this…flavorless brown water! I read the reviews that appeared to be from some real coffee connoisseurs and was looking forward to a real treat…and if I could save some money in the process, all the better. It was awful! I should have gotten my first clue when I ground the beans...pale color...little aroma...dry... (It looked a little like dark sawdust as compared to the Starbucks I usually drink). I couldn’t drink it. When I got to work, I poured it out, looking forward with great anticipation to the Folgers they supply for free.

This is not the most flavorful coffee that I expected from other reviews.
