As the title says, the installation was a cinch, the height is great for under bed storage and the frame supports our Purple mattress very nicely. My only complaint is that once you have a mattress on the frame, it is not structurally sound enough to be able to move it. Even if two people were to pick it up from each end, you would not be able to move it without straining the middle part that connects the two main pieces together. So whenever you want to move the bed, you have to remove the mattress first. Other than that, I have no complaints. If you're using a Purple mattress, I recommend placing flattened moving boxes in between the frame and the mattress for additional support.

I’m in love with my new mattress and frame. I purchased the green tea and 18” frame. First it was SO easy to put together, second it looks fabulous, and third I haven’t slept this good in ten years! I love how high the bed is with the frame (I’m 5’11”) and how much storage I can place underneath. I’ll be a customer for life!

I started researching memory foam mattresses, because I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness that causes global pain issues, and finding a comfortable position to sleep in had become impossible. My computer is smarter than me, noticed I was doing a lot of memory foam mattress searches, and threw me a Zinus ad when I was reading Yahoo. Thank you computer! I ordered the 18" steel bed frame - easy to set up, and the perfect height for storage underneath. The frame arrived on a Friday, and the shipment was marked online as "delivered"... but no mattress! A quick call to the shipper (Can't remember if it was FedEx or UPS) confirmed that the frame & mattress shipped separately, and the mattress was on its way. My mattress is a 14" cool gel memory foam (full size). Setting it up was a challenge (I live alone 75% of the time, so no one to help), but I gotta say watching the mattress decompress was one of the funniest/most entertaining things I've seen in a while. I wish someone had been with me to take a video! It started expanding the second I cut into the vacuum-sealed plastic, and was almost completely expanded by the time I finished cutting the plastic off. It went from pancake to POOF! in less than 10 minutes! It's also very comfortable to sleep on. When I lay down I can initially feel all of the pain points (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees), but after a minute or two my brain goes "ohhhh... this is what support feels like" and I can relax enough to sleep. I'm already budgeting to replace the mattresses in the rest of the house with Zinus!

At first I loved this frame. I reviewed it before “my frame soulmate” But it’s been 9 months since and it’s not so perfect anymore. It’s supposed to withstand 4400 lbs and yes I’m fat but not anywhere near that haha. It makes a lot of noise.. some of the screws are literally bent. The legs at the bottom were completely folded almost I was about to eat sht if I hadn’t moved my mattress in time and saw it. All in all it was good while it lasted but it didn’t even make it to our one year anniversary

The frame is easy to set up, sturdy, and we are pleased. We are playing musical beds in our small condo...and I have yet to make a mattress selection. I know it won't be foam, so I hope it can lay directly on this frame. I think we will get rid of the king mattress and buy another twin frame as two twins make a master size. That is, if we can have the same price we paid for the one delivered. With back injury, any motion from another person is painful. I prefer two twin frames to the larger connected size as it gives more options down the road.

so far happy with my purchase. price was selling point. bed arrival was slightly longer than expected but reasonable. bed frame assembled very easily without tools.. mattress is firm.. a slight bit more firm than I am used to, and it took some time to get used to but I also slept on a older worn mattress before this..overall very happy and WILL buy more to replace other beds in my older home

I must say I was amazed at the total comfort for the price. When I first received my mattress I hadn’t purchased the frame. I felt that I needed to add the right frame for the mattress, so I purchased the 18” SmartBase frame, so glad I did. The bed sits high off the floor which leaves plenty of storage underneath. The bed feels more supportive with this frame. I love the mattress, I thought it felt to soft but then you get into bed and it’s perfect, cradling you in pure bliss.

Once I received my 18 inch smart base I was a little skeptical . Because it didn't look strong enough to me . But I was surprised by the strength of it . I like how it brings more height to my mattress and plenty of storage underneath . sometimes I find myself just looking underneath to make sure it's ok . Excellent work and it doesn't make any noise . Thank you so much and I am impressed by you workmanship and your 5 yr warranty . You definitely have manufactured a excellent product . I don't write reviews but I felt the need to for this. I have had my 18" deluxe platform for over a year now and its everything they advertise it to be. I got mine to replace my box spring and frame and I have not once regretted that decision. It's completely silent (unlike box springs). It's super light but super strong!! Totally worth every penny.

Bottom-Line-Up-Front: 4.8-5 very satisfied, young professional. I bought this for two reasons; the extra clearance underneath and to replace my Ikea Malm (pressed-wood frame) that was damaged in the Ellicott City flood in July 2016. Set-up is a tool-less breeze and this frame is silent. That is probably a result of how sturdy it is. I'm not sure if it is perfect, however, it seems perfect for my needs. The frame is tall enough that I can very easily vacuum underneath of it with my full size Shark Navigator. Two very small gripes which make this a 4.8-5.0. If you order on Amazon it does not come with the grip mats, but it is not advertised with them there like it is on Zinus' website, so I did not actually remove a star. And two, there was minor damage to a small plastic end-cap on one of the frame-halves I am certain that it is not a manufacturing/industrial material issue and only a result of shipping. Packaging is noticeably simple, which I greatly appreciate not paying for boxes and plastic I intended on disposing of, so it does come with risks like that.
