Worst Streaming Device

The device will not hold an internet connection Period. If it does connect, you will have streaming for 10-15 seconds, then cut out. The troubleshooting steps do not work. There should be a a recall on this device. Save yourself the time and money. Go to a different company.

Good second Roku (my primary is the Roku Ultra)

I needed to replace an old Roku and having weak internet reception, wanted a strong Roku to boost it. The Roku Express 2019 was just perfect! Easy to set up (and I'm going 80 years old in the new year), easy to operate, and provided the quality I needed. I sail to the various channels I want and zoom through the choices of streams/movies to select my choice of viewing. Great product!!

Major Wi-Fi Connection Issues

I’ve had this Roku for about a year. After a few months I started experiencing wi-fi connection issues that were only happening on my Roku not my phone not my chrome cast not any other device just the roku. Y’all I reset the router I reset the roku to factory settings and that only sometimes works. I moved the Roku to the same room that my router is located in. Literally sat it on top of the router and the connection issues persists. I finally broke down and purchased another Chromecast since my older one never not once failed me. Do not buy these. The forums all speak of this connection issue. If this company can’t make a device that can connect to Wi-Fi without having to do a million things then it simply should not be sold.

I used to love Roku.

I've had a Roku box for years and have loved it. I decided to be like the cool kids and upgrade and gave my old box away. Unfortunately the new Roku I bought in September was glitchy. I was sent another that also had issues. So I returned the boxes and am still waiting for my refund as we head into December.

Stopped working after a few months

It was working great and I loved it. I installed all my favorite streaming services and never had any issues at all. Then all of a sudden, it started having connection issues and now I can't even get past the start setup page. It's useless now and I can't even get my money back because it's been longer than 30 days.

Lagging steams, constant resets

Had to keep restarting/factory resetting. It was near my router and still would drop the wi-fi connection constantly. Some free kids content channels were riddled with repetitive adult marketed commercials as often as frequently as every 30 seconds-3 minutes. Navigating/typing with the remote was tedious and time consuming. No technical support. Support forums offer redundant multistep procedures that don't work at all or only work for a few minutes. No returns or refunds after 30 days.

I bought this almost two years ago now and i haven’t had a problem with it until now and so the power cord was broken and I cannot seem to find a replacement and the ones I have tried a warning on the tv says “insufficient power” I don’t know how to fix this and am about to just get a new one

Roku Express would not connect to TCL Android TV. I switched to a Vizio V series Smart TV and Roku Express connected to WiFi upon the initial set up, now it will not connect to WiFi even after following all the prompts multiple times to restart the system. I have unplugged the HDMI and the power source, yet the express still can not connect to the WiFi. It is very frustrating especially when the description states the unit is compatible with ALL TVs with an HDMI port. That is false.

Won't stay connected to wifi

This device has been a huge pain. I have restarted it so many times, changed my wifi channel, and still it will lose the wifi connection and I can't get it to reconnect despite it saying my wifi signal is Excellent. I want to replace it w/ a better device.

Not good At all SIS

Biggest waste of money ever spent. My remote never connnected I had to use the app then all out of no where it quit connecting and won’t pop up saying my wifi is the problem it is NOT I put 5 stars so everyone knows this ! I’m always too busy to return things like most people! So save yourself time and money & don’t bother with this thing. I tried putting p o s for the review title & it wouldn’t let me figures.
