Rock hard “soft chews”

I purchased these instead of the product I normally get because I thought my old girl would appreciate the soft chews. I guess I should’ve felt them through the packaging because when I opened them they were rock hard. I tried them for a few days anyway, but my dog got diarrhea so I stopped using them. Coincidence? Maybe. Either way these aren’t right and I’m returning them next time I make a Sam’s trip.

Not a soft chew at all.

These are 'NOT' soft chews. Yes, they have helped my dog's mobility so I continue to buy them, but she has to swallow whole. They are not easy to cut up and put in her food. This company needs to address this issue and remove the 'SOFT' from their branding. They may be soft when you first buy them, but they harden very soon. Can't give 5 stars if their words do not match the product.

GET THESE- Remarkable Difference

Our 8 y/o American Staffordshire has terrible arthritis in her back legs and vets arthritis meds didn’t seem to be giving her much relief. Her back joints were like tennis balls. Tried a Cosequin supplement with no success. 3 months of taking these 2 per day and no limping, minimal swelling and she can jump again! Thoroughly impressed and will continue to purchase. Have recommended to ALL of my dog mom friends!

Changed Formula

The company confirmed that they changed their formula 09/2024. We have been using this product for 4 years for both of my dogs and they loved it. The store was out so we ordered it online but when it arrived I tried giving it to my dogs for a week. They smelled it and walked away. They refused to eat it and I knew there was a problem with the product. We called the company and they said they changed the formula. I wish this didn't happen. I'm extremely disappointed and so are Milo and Bella.

Amazing!

I have two dogs that eat these every morning. They get mad at me if I don’t give them their treat. Both of my pups are Malinois mixes: one is mixed with a whippet and the other a German Shepherd. My GS/Malinois mix was having issues with her back hips and jumping up onto our bed. My husband and I were both concerned with her back hips since she’s still a puppy (possibly 2 yrs old but don’t know for sure since we rescued her from the humane society) and didn’t want her to be in pain. I found this product while walking through our local sams club and over 6 months later I will not give my girls anything else. There are no more issues with either dogs hips and they both regularly jump up into our bed ( and occasionally over our side gates to go explore the front yard before jumping back). I will never use anything else for my girls because I have seen the miracle that this product provides to pets and their parents.

Restored mobility to my senior dog

We have been giving Synovial Flex to our senior dog for years. A few months ago Synovial Flex started getting difficult to find and the price was getting ridiculous. On a whim, while walking past VETIQ joint supplements at SAMs I decided to give them a try. After about a week we started to see some amazing results! Our vet was always impressed at how well our 13 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was moving - but he stopped going on the couch about 3 years ago. Even with stairs he wouldn’t go on the couch. Until now! With VETIQ he now confidently climbs those stairs and lays on the couch! I wish I had tried VETIQ sooner but I’m SO happy that VETIQ has restored the mobility he lost!

My dog hates the smell and taste of these!

These chews, which are very hard, and not soft as labelled on the packaging, have the worst smell. My dog doesn't want anything to do with them unless I put them in Leberwurst. The taste must also be horrible. My dog will push them away without anything added to them. The ingredients may be good, but the way they taste and smell definitely needs to be improved. The company also should change their packaging label as the info is misleading and incorrect. The chews are HARD and not soft as printed on the packaging. I really don't recommend these.

Hard as a rock and upset our dog's stomach

Our preferred hip & joint supplement brand unfortunately went out of business so after reading several reviews on this product from VETIQ, I decided to give it a chance based on the fact that they are advertised as "soft chews". We have an elderly dog that requires a predominantly soft food diet so it's essential for him, especially in terms of supplements. These chews arrived ROCK HARD - so hard that I could hardly cut them with our sharpest knife. I still opted to give them to our dog after slicing them into super tiny shaved pieces. After one week of use I noticed that his stomach was extremely irritated and he started to exhibit signs of pain/inflammation in his hip area. I immediately trashed them and requested a refund. Please use caution if you purchase this product, especially for small and/or elderly breeds!

WOW! Can't believe the difference!

These supplements truly seem to be the holy grail for my male Golden Retrievers! My oldest, almost 9 years old, is mildly dysplastic... and it was getting hard for him to stand up after lying on wood floors, or jump onto a bed. He seems to feel much better after a few months with these treats! He prances around with toys like a puppy! My younger GR is equally as frisky. (Wait - is this really a good thing? Ha.) I don't even give the full dosage for their size; only give one or two per day vs. the recommended 4 for larger dogs. I'll swear by them! If you own a dog prone to hip dysplasia, GRAB a bag - bet you won't regret it! (**FYI, pretty sure they cause some, ehem, flatulence with my boys - but I'm happy to suffer it since they appear to benefit so greatly from these VetIQ supplements.) ;)

Made my dog sick

My 45 lb senior dog had no problem eating these, however, I started with one and he had diarrhea the next day. I waited a day to give him another, and he was fine. Tried one again, and he was sick. Repeated this and went to half a chew. His tummy clearly does not like something in these. But they may work fine for other people. There was some coating that looked like sugar on each chew. I don't know if that was supposed to be there, or if I got a bad batch. None of these hip/joint supplements work any magic, but even some relief is helpful. I'll be trying other vitamins for my guy. I used the regular VETIQ vitamins, and my dogs were fine with half a dosage. I'd be leery of the company telling you to give several. Sounds more like marketing to me.
