Maybe it’s my taste buds or I got a bad batch. I bought these for the first time because of the high protein and was really excited to try those. However, all I taste is vomit. Only took one bite off the Chocolate Peanut Butter one. Haven’t tried the cookie dough one yet but scared to try after this first bite. I had to spit it out and swish my mouth with water and mouthwash. Sad I don’t like it as the other reviews sounded great.

This is, without exaggeration, one of the worst-tasting protein bars I've ever eaten. The texture and initial taste were actually good. For a brief moment, I thought these would replace my other protein bars, but then the aftertaste arrived. Imagine the smell of sweaty, well-worn gym socks that had been forgotten in a gym bag for a month somehow being transformed into a flavor and glued to the inside of your mouth. That's the closest comparison I can make. It was foul, lingering, and genuinely difficult to forget. If you're looking for a protein bar, there are countless better options on the market. This one was a hard no. I messaged the company and they offered me $10 in condolences cash, which is even further upsetting because I paid $20 for the box. Their initial correspondence alluded to a bad batch and that "it's safe to eat". So is play-doh. That's non-toxic too. 100% avoid.

I was so exited to try these. The problem with some protein bars is the weird aftertaste. But with these… the aftertaste is there WHILE eating them, too.. and the taste doesn’t go away for a while! 🤢

The last taste to his your mouth is literally vomit. My husband ans I both tried them and tasted the same thing. Protein bar and then vomit. Will never buy these again.

Wanted to like these because I thought Chef Irvine surely would have a product that tastes amazing. Bought a box at Sam's club yesterday, had one first thing today and it tasted like eating a bar of soap. It was horrible and I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. I have tried lots of bars before and this one is up there with the worst ones.

These are not good.

Got these as a breakfast alternative for my son. I had read that too much soy is not good for males and most high protein products have soy. This has whey proteins first

I bought these just to try them and see how they are. They're good, but there's sort of a funny—not necessarily an aftertaste, but there's something in there that just isn't quite right.

These are absolutely disgusting. The chocolate peanut butter is slightly more edible than the chocolate chip cookie dough. I've tried a lot of protein bars and these are by far the absolute worst tasting.

My husband and I both love to keep these on hand for days where we're running around and might not get the chance to stop for something to eat. With us both being diabetics, it's important to keep the sugar low and the protein high. These are perfect to tide us over until our next meal. We like both flavors, but I think the cookie dough is actually my favorite.
