I previously have bought spicy flavors of Duke’s and they were great. I appreciate no added nitrates especially. From opening the bag I got extreme “canned dog food” vibes. As for the taste, I haven’t yet tried to eat dog food, but I’d imagine it’d be along these lines. Very disappointed.

I love beef jerky and sausages regardless! I was at my local grocery store and I passed the beef jerky section in the chip isle. As I was looking at each of the products this one caught my eye due to the design of the packaging and also how the sausages looked. So, I picked up this bag and I am really impressed with the flavor. I did read the back of it and even went on here to the website to write a review. Plus, read more about the company. It's my new favorite compared to other beef jerky brands I've had throughout the years. I'll definitely be on the lookout for this brand when I have a craving.

Almost feel like a competitor wrote them. Dog food and smells like preservatives? Who goes straight for jerky of they're starving? And why is Jack Link's mentioned so many times on the 1 stars? I've had 5 bags of these in the past 3 months and the only issue I've had is finding them, so I came here to see if I could buy a box.

I bought this for the first time and was skeptical as I've tried many different products. Unlike other reviews I saw on your website, I found them moist and very tasteful. I enjoyed them very much and love that you are able to make them so enjoyable, yet keep the carbs and sugar very low. As a diabetic, these are perfect, thanks so much and keep it up!!!

I've been buying Dukes ever since I tried my 1st one. Was so happy to find them at Sam's where 3 bags costs as much as you'd pay for 1.5 bags at a regular store. They're great for a quick, filling snack on the go or especially when doing outdoor activities like hiking. Beware they do need to be refrigerated after opening lest they get moldy. But that's a good thing because it means they're not filled with preservatives. Love my Dukes sausages!

But these sausages are delicious. If you are watching your carbs or not, these are a great go to snack. There's lots of "meat stick" snacks out there but most are greasy and full of junk. The texture and flavor of these Shorty sausages is something you would expect to find from a local small batch craft butcher. I'm really impressed and love the fact that there are no added nitrates. When I'm not watching my carbs so much they pair great with your favorite craft brew. :-) Looking forward to trying other flavors as well.

I agree with those who were disappointed to learn that the package must be refrigerated (in small print!). Also, learning from Duke's responses, that even after refrigeration, the contents should be consumed within 5 days! As a single guy who doesn't eat so rapidly, these facts would have kept me from buying. AND, as a single guy who hates to throw out anything still good, here's the BIG question: is the white mold that has appeared, harmful? Or is it like the similar mold often seen on sausages, and ok to eat? Or maybe brush off and eat? And I concur with those who complain that the product is not prominently labelled as pork. I'd have tried it anyway, but for some, that is a real problem. Please reply to my email, re: advisability of eating the sausages, even though moldy.

First time so bought your original dukes ssusages I was impressed and remained impressed for a year or so and my grandson loved them also but lately they are not like the first ones I loved Texture of casing seems tougher and my grandson does not look forward as rd to them anymore Seems a shame but if quality continues to go down I will we hit purchasing

We usually buy Archer beef sticks but, wanted to try something different. While these don't have a bad taste, they are so greasy in texture that they left a film in my mouth. My household can't finish even the one bag we opened and can't find anyone in my extended family willing to take the two unopened packs. A disappointing waste.

This is my first time trying and it is absolutely tasty! It is a great snack! I’m really enjoying the balance between the different spices! I’m really glad that this isn’t too heavily seasoned or salty as I’m used to eating light foods! I do wish they’d pack a little more in each pack though, because I’m sitting here 1am chomping on my new favorite snack while getting through all my assignments!
