DO NOT BUY THIS.. TOO HEAVY AND VERY LOW POWER.

A heavy non functioning object.... Air compressor is very poor, and the Battery Start strength is almost non existent..... Tested and tried to use several times before I gave my $99.00 Stanley to my neighbor who fiddles with junk... Bought it because of the "Stainley brand value".. Usually is good.. Not this heavy junk.. Too much going on in it maybe... Bought an Audew online about a 1/4 of the size and comes in a zipped case.. Works way better than the Stanley.. I have a Craftsman air compressor that I bought 4 when they were on sale for like 12 bucks.. Gave them to family.. Everyone loves them... Again I am very disappointed in the Stanley... I have many more Stanley products that are just fine.. But not this item.. I wanted to return it to sams.. but no... so lost a hundred dollars....

Very Handy!

The tire on my truck has a slow leak that supposedly is caused by the rim not sealing completely with the tire. I have to fill the tire up to 44psi about every three days when my low pressure light comes on. Being battery powered it is nice to set the psi needed and let it do its thing. It shuts off when the psi is reached. I've filled the tire 3 times and still have 1/2 charge on the unit.

Good for air only

Had this for a few years. Used it a ton of times to air tires up. It works great on bicycles, lawnmowers, and auto. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to jump a battery on the first attempt. Always have to recharge at least one time, sometimes multiple times, to get it to work for a battery.

Faulty Product

I have bought 4 of these in the past. Recent purchase was in February of this year 2022. All previous purchases were OK till this one. The battery pack fails to maintain a charge long enough to air up a low tire after only 5 months or jump start a vehicle. It is a battery problem, not the compressor. The BIG problem is their warranty. When it fails in the 1st 3 months the manufacturer suggests returning it to SAMS. After that YOU the consumer are to pay for shipping back to Boca Raton, FL for a warranty consideration. Cost from WV is approximately 30-35 dollars, both UPS and USPS, half of the cost of a new one. ALSO, in the FINE print on the last page of the warranty, in the manual, they don't cover batteries! Yes, you read that right, batteries not included in their warranty. This is my last one purchased!

Do not purchase!

Great concept, and semi functional for a 30psi tire fill: anything above that you are sunk. The battery charger does not work. I have returned two of these, thinking that the first one was simply defective, but alas the second one didn't work as advertised either. Don't waste your time and money on this product.

These things are amazing!

I bought my first one almost 5 year ago. It is still working great. I also bought 2 more over the last couple years - so we have 1 for each of our cars. We do not use these daily, but we also don't just leave them sit in our vehicles until they die, and then it's not there when we need it. The unit has 4 bars indicating the battery life that is left. When it gets down to 1 bar, I usually recharge them. If we are going on a longer trip, I charge it full before we go. These are very slim design, so there is NO room for them to include a charging cord, which you are not going to want to deal with when on the side of the road anyway. I've had to use mine in -25 degree below zero temps, and you want something quick and easy to use. It works great - you set it on the ground right next to your tire, connect the nozzle to your tire stem, adjust the PSI to the pressure you require for your tire, and it runs until it reaches that PSI. When not on the road, we use these to inflate bike tires, water floats, as a changer for phones, etc. I jump started my riding mower. Like I said, these are amazing units, and not just to sit in the trunk for peace of mind. Use them, recharge them, and use them again. It is always better to be familiar with something before you're in a crunch and trying to figure it out while sitting on the side of the road! There is some amount of user responsibility too people! Don't leave a bad review just because you didn't pay attention to the fact that it does not come with a charging cord.

Avoid! Smoking on first use of compressor

Bought ~2 months ago, topped off the charge, and went to use it for the first time today to inflate a tire from 49psi to start, hoping to inflate to 75psi. As it strained to deliver the first few psi, it dropped from a full charge visible (4 bars) down to half (2 bars) almost immediately. The compressor made some different noises as it seemed to “change gears” although I realize it’s not “geared”. Perhaps motor dropping power as it senses overheating? My best guess, because around 61psi the noise changed again and then I saw actual SMOKE coming from the top left side of the machine. I took a couple seconds of video and turned it off, now I’m taking it back for a refund. Won’t even consider an exchange, should have read the reviews before I bought this as it’s obviously a poorly engineered piece of junk.

Do not waste money

I have bought 4 of these for family members. Each one something stopped working mostly air pressure hose. So no don't buy. I usually don't leave bad reviews but after bad experience with several of the same product something just isnt right with this. I usually love my B &D product's but this is a big no.

Worked fine when it worked

Do not Buy! Stopped working after 3 uses. I last used it to start a pickup that had a battery drain from a interior light that was left on. Started the truck just fine, and by the time I came back around to unhook the unit it was beeping and smoking. The unit was fried internally, and stopped working. The unit was still under the 1 year warranty, but please note: "To claim the warranty you half to ship it back to manufacturer at your cost". My cost for shipping was going to be $32.00. Terrible policy if you ask me. I will be using this shipping cost to go toward another better rated unit, probably a smaller lighter weight lithium battery model.

Battery doesn't last

Used once to top off the truck tires. Re-charged it. Needed a month later and it had nothing, 0 bars of battery. As soon as I plugged it in to charge, battery bar jumped to 3 bars immediately and stayed there for days. It will not charge nor hold a charge. I reached out to Stanley to RMA, and no response in months.
