Do Not Buy And Be Warned

Please Don’t Waste Your Money

This company…Wow!!! I bought the older version and the battery does not keep a charge over time to conduct a jump. Then called the company to report how the product didn’t last they said they weren’t meant to and that was that. So don’t buy for yourself or as a gift etc. find something else please. Be warned!!!

reply from Supplier Response

We appreciate your feedback. This model is designed to last the lifespan of the internal battery. Depending on the age of a unit, the internal battery can expire. To extend the life span of this model, we recommend charging this unit every 30 days. to keep the battery fully charged. If a battery is stored in weak/depleted status this can cause the battery to suffer damage and can shorten the lifespan.

Do not buy

Worked great for a few months, then nothing. Battery tests good and all the components are fine, but the computer they shoved in this device doesn't work, which of course means nothing works. I thought about exchanging it, but I honestly don't want to rely on this hunk of junk ever again. My only condolence is that it was on sale.

Defective

After only 1 year and 1 mild use it is going haywire. Turns on by itself randomly drains the battery and the compressor will just start on it's own, lights will flash. Acts like something from an 80s tech movie. Straight junk. Dissapointing for a stanley product, especially since this is apparently a known issue. Should have done more research but I trusted the Stanley name... Won't do that again.

Doesn't last

I purchased 3 of these to give as Christmas gifts to my adult children. Now all 3 are dead and non-functional. This product obviously has some sort of design flaw, since all 3 units did not last the year. Since this product is made to stay charged and kept ready for an emergency, it isn't like it is used all the time. It can't stand occasional use. I paid much higher than the current price for these, so I am not happy. This was not a case of a cheap product not lasting--I specifically purchased this due to the Fat Max name with an expectation of a quality product that would last.

Another Bites The Dust

Bought this specifically for our Snow Plow business, purchased 2 years ago and can count on one hand the amount of times its been used. Was working fine up until that point but cant believe these business cant make things last any more. Making matters worse Sam's Club said they couldn't do anything about it, YAAAAY!

Totally unreliable (twice)

I bought this Fatmax 1000 a year and used it maybe twice before it died (right after the 90 day period was out). I liked the way it worked so I got another, thinking I had just gotten a bad one. I probably aired up 12 tires (a couple of lbs ea) and jumped two vehicles. Now at about 4 months old it too has died. It was not worked hard. I would not trust it for much.

Junk box! Not jump box!

Worthless since I bought it! Only things that really worked are the light and tire pump. As far as a jump box it's a piece of garbage. Seem to drain when not in use, takes for ever to charge, one or to jumps its dead. Don't buy should have taken it back right away. But procrastinated.

Air pump dies after several uses.

Over the years I've had 3 or 4 of these and each time the air pump died. Sometimes within a few months, sometimes right after the warranty expired. If you want a jumper box it was great but if you need the air pump I wouldn't recommend this unit. It always sounded like a stripped gear inside. Perhaps they used plastic parts that easily broke.

Terrible. Stanley warranty company Baccus Global

Bought for my sons birthday. He charged per instruction. Never worked. Instructions state to not return product to store but to Baccus Global. Customer is responsible for shipping cost. I shipped it from the midwest and the USPS cost, it's bulky, was $45! I paid $63 plus tax for it. So my real cost, no fault of my own, was now over $110. Sams Club, Stanley, and Baccus should be ashamed.

Doesn't last

Have purchased 5. All of them had pump burn out while trying to air up more than a car tire (SUV, pick-up, or trailer). Battery doesn't hold charge after a while. One died in a year, the others varied. I wanted it to be good. That's why I chalked up the 1st two failures to neglect or lemon's. But after buying 3 more...
