DO NOT BUT THIS HEAVY PIECE OF JUNK......

I bought this approx 4 months ago and keep it charged and in my truck all the time... I used to a few times to jump my sisters cars etc... the last few times even with a full charge would not start a small car.. Had to get out my Little Audec and combine them to get it started... Also the Compressor does not pump air unless at full power..... A big giant heavy piece of crap.. Very disappointed.. and I doubt if Sam's will refund the $99.00 I paid for it because of the Stanley name....

doesnt work compared to others

Bought one had it for a few months went to jump start buddy and it failed and I had fully charged it when purchased took it back to Sams and they exchanged for a new no problem. I charged this one as well when I got it home went to jump start a bobcat skid steer again new one failed. gonna try and exchange again. I have always had these without incident way back to peak 450 but Stanley really dropped the ball on this 1000 amp

Not up to the company name or standards .

Was great for almost the first year. Then the charge started to drop and not hold. After that it would drain fairly fast and was good for one quick jump if your battery wasn't too far down. But don't get your hopes up for a second jump without recharging the jumper first. This one doesn't live up to the Stanley name that once was. The charge would not stay on the jumper battery once it was charged up. Within 30 minutes of being charged, mine began to drop power by at least a full volt. Defeats the purpose of having it in my vehicle for emergencies when it doesn't hold a charge. I feel foolish trying to help someone and only find my jumper is as dead as their vehicle, or worse. Thank God I also carry Jumper Cables too. I definitely Do Not Recommend this item!

Air compressor tore up on second use.

I bought this a few months ago. The second tire that I inflated the compressor quit pumping. I called the factory number and they said they would repair if I shipped it. Shipping would cost about as much as I paid for it. I am not a happy customer

Died like the other brands I have tried.

This was the fifth such "jump starter" that I have purchased over the last two decades. I have never gotten more than 3 years life out of any of them. I purchased the extended warranty because of this. Sure enough, mine would not work or recharge almost 3 years after purchase, just before the warranty expired. I only used it as a jump starter twice over that time, and never used the air compressor. Took it back to Sams Club, and despite the large pile of new ones in the store, they would not accept it, so I had to contact Allstate. I was only offered $55 reimbursement, because I had purchased it during a price reduction, and now it costs almost $90. Definitely not buying the same thing again. Word of advice, if you find yourself needing this frequently, you are better off buying a new vehicle battery.

Absolutely junk!

I can't believe Sam's is selling this again! They stopped selling it for a while due to complaints and returns... Will work for one or two uses, then will either die quietly if you're lucky or might start smoking and almost burn your house down. I had 2 of them, and would never risk my family's life with this in the house or car.

1200 amp unit shown but 1000 amp unit sent

I bought this unit for Black Friday sale. I thought it was a 1200 amp unit as shown in the description. But when I received the unit it was actually just 1,000 amps. Did they switch a lesser product out for the same price? I tried to load a picture but got error message. Will be returning unit to the store.

Compressor weak

I have a F250needed 10psi added to my tire. It took 30 minutes to get it to 58psi from 51psi. I haven't used the jump start since I bought this unit 1 month ago. Do not recommend waisting money on it for a pickup or SUV. Maybe a compact car with lower air pressure might work. But to have a brand name on this is sad

Air compressor fail

Be careful of the tire inflator. Says it's good up to 120 PSI. I was inflating a tire that needed 100 psi and it was only at 62 pounds when the line inside the unit popped off. I tried to take it apart and reattach the line but it's useless now as it blew apart inside.
