I purchased this unit 3 years ago and have only used it a couple of times for filling tires and once to start a dead battery. It performed well for 2 years. However, the third year, the battery would no longer hold enough charge to air one tire of a bicycle. I called service and they would not do anything. I tried to purchase another battery for the unit and that would have cost $90.00. The other problem is when the technician at Batteries Plus attempted to remove the cover, after removing all the screws(around 14) the cover still would not come off.

The USB Ports do not work; they power up, but shut down immediately when you attach any USB device; I have tried phones, speakers, and many other USB items simply to charge; none draw more than the 3.1 amps and I have not attached more than one device at a time; there is nothing anywhere to be found on how to trouble shoot why; I have used many different cables also; this happens with every USB device I attach to charge.

I love this jump starter. I've used it several times from charging my battery to airing up my tire and have had to re-charge it yet. I would have giving this a 5 stars but instead I give it a 4 because you have to buy an extension card to charge it up.

Purchase because of the Stanley name. Not a good product. Stopped working correctly within months. Now over a year old and it's garbage. Doesn't charge correctly, Doesn't jump correctly, compressor is a joke. Only the useless light works as it should. It's a shame Stanley I through was a recognizable name. Not anymore!

This little machine works well, I have owned it for about a year .n It works even when its well below zero and has been siting in an un heated garage, The only bad thing I have about it is that it did not come with a power cord , and the charge indicator could be improved.

I have a big compressor myself and I love this device because you can take with you and not have the need to ask for someone to jump your car or put air on your tire when your not home. I have used it multiple times to jump my car and to fill out tires after i fix it with plugs because of a nail. Sometime roadside takes over an hour to come and I get impatient. I gave one to my daughter who just left to college for the summer term. In addition, it’s great for hurricane season and when the power is out and need to charge a phone. I charge it once a week. Love it

Bought yesterday and today one of the kids mentioned they thought they had a low tire. Low was an understatement! Three only had just over 20 psi and one had 12 psi. Set the pressure on the FatMax at 44 and let it do its thing. It's not exactly speedy but didn't have access to my big compressor. It's one of them tools you hope you never have to use. But you'll be glad you have if needed.

My wife purchased this (PP1DCS) for me last June (Father’s Day). Since receiving it, I have always made sure that I kept it tendered. Though it never seems to fully charge, as it fluctuates between 3 and 4 bars and never sustains a “full” indicator. I tried (key word: tried) jumping a friend’s vehicle once shortly after having received it, and it was like there was no additional juice for its jump starting functionality. Regardless of keeping it tendered, it seems to have never made a difference, as the battery goes from “full”, or near “full”, down to 1 single bar (and sometimes running out of juice completely) after adding air to my wife’s tire - maybe…maybe 2 minutes tops! Taking this unit with us camping this-past Summer specifically for its USB charging capabilities for our phones and small, portable outdoor speaker; it literally stopped charging them after 10 minutes. I unplugged them from the USB ports and plugged them back in…..nothing. It will no longer charge anything from the USB ports. I tried utilizing the compressor functionality earlier today and it would turn on, then immediately shut off - now the compressor has stopped functioning as it should. All that has continued to work on this unit is the small L.E.D. light, that’s it. It’s basically a fancy paperweight at this point. I am incredibly disappointed with this unit in its entirety. What makes it even worse is that my wife has seen my frustrations with it; a gift that she got for me, not operating as it should and giving (us) constant issues. I have obviously told her numerous times that it’s not her fault but she’s the type who prides herself in giving great gifts. This, unfortunately, was not one of them. We will likely be taking our business elsewhere.

This unit worked when I first got it a couple years ago but went to check the charge and nothing worked. I plugged it in to charge and then the screen came alive and showed that the battery is fully charged. I could get everything to work while plugged in but nothing worked as soon as I unplugged it and tried to run off the battery. Absolute junk.

I bought it from Sams Club a few months ago and I hadn’t had to use it until lately I got flat tires and used it couple times to fill up my tire and the compressor broke. Won’t do the job I’m trying to return it go with something else I don’t recommend it
