First time trying this product, cost was very alluring, however we are disappointed on both taste and 'extra large' size. We will stick to the Planters' brands.

You get what you pay for. I purchased these online one for my family and the other a Christmas present. They had a burnt taste. I won’t purchase this item again.

The peanuts were not extra large. I will give them a large, but certainly not extra large. And they were way overcooked. Not a golden brown as the picture indicates, but dark brown. Not worth the time to chew them. Somebody forgot to set the cooking timer. On the plus side though, Sam's did give me a refund; without a problem and very quickly. I would not have complained about the size of the peanuts, but the overcooking made them inedible for me.

I still look for the Planter's version of these, but since they're so scarce these will work. The makers seem to have figured out how to stop burning them when roasting, so that's better. There has to be some reason they add peanut oil to peanuts, but unless it's so the salt will stick better, I can't think of it. I wonder if these peanuts are claustrophobic or something. They arrived in a box, by themselves (no padding) that is big enough to be Mr Peanut's RV. An 11 x 16 x 10 inch box (1760 cubic inches) for a 110 cubic inch 'jar' containing 34.5 ounces of peanuts. Just add wheels.

Well-known name brand has become harder and harder to find at all, much less for a reasonable price. In calling that company in 2022 in hopes of finding a source, I was told that they provide the ones sold under this brand name. These may be 1/2 step down in quality from the blue-labeled cans, but they're still good for making chocolate peanut clusters or snacking on plain.

I have bought many of these over the years and usually buy 6 containers at a time. They are my favorite choice for peanuts. However, the latest shipment had a 30% price increase as well as new labels on the containers and the calories per serving went from 160 to 180 with no change in the serving size or any change in listed ingredients. I would like to know why this happened.
