Not As Good As Planters

Yet another Member's Mark product that misses the mark. The Planter's brand was superior in taste and appearance, yet inexplicably, Sam's Club replaced them with these. The canister I received is slightly overroasted, with a darker color and harder texture than optimally cooked ones would be.

Decent

Just bought these. I must say I was expecting more snap. The Virginia pnuts I've had in the past were well known for their crispness. These are, well, just peanuts. They have good flavor but if you're looking for that snap, look elsewhere. These are also small as VPs go, certainly not 'Extra Large' as the can says. Won't buy again.

Very tasty peanuts, with some shortcomings

We've bought a few of these and definitely like them most of the time. Too often they're roasted to the point of almost being burned and will leave a bitter taste. Also, these aren't really 'extra large' peanuts, they're more like regular sized. The average size is about 5/8 inch when compared to actual extra large size of an average of 7/8 to 1 inch. Unfortunately, the method used to determine what size a peanut is - uses a screen to see which ones will fall through. So, if they're of a certain diameter they can still be called 'Extra Large' - by the US Govt, but not in my book. They're still good, but just be ready for less than expected.

Just not as good as Planter's

You wouldn't think that peanuts could taste so different, but they do. The quality of the Sam's product just is not in the same league as the Planter's peanuts. They don't seem as fresh and just seem to have a different finish in the mouth. I really miss Sam's club selling planters peanuts in this kind of container.

Terrible and Dull

Tasted terrible, like old peanut oil. The nuts appear dark and dull in color. The product description says "Expertly roasted to achieve the right balance of crunch and flavor", but again I would say these nuts are dull instead of crunchy and tasted old and dull.

ehh....

If you like oily/bland peanuts, these are for you! It’s probably not just this brand but they have far less taste/much more oily then the dry roasted peanuts. The Members Mark dry roasted peanuts are by far, better. I’d say the dry roasted are just as good, if not better than name brand!

Not good

In recent months both online and in store these have been over roasted. They are very dark and taste burnt. I used to order multiple containers monthly and would love to order more but have become skeptical of them. Please fix the problem as others have had similar comments.

Not bad.

Decent peanut, but not enough salt.
