These walnuts are usually the best. However, this batch smells rancid. The best if used by is Aug038083. The numbers and letters above it are PR#10511. I don’t know how to read this expiration date. I don’t know if they have been recalled or if I just got a bad bag.

Been buying this brand for years. Never had a problem before with them turning rancid, until last year. Thought I’d try them once more, but am disappointed. Expires next year, according to the bag. Stored in freezer as soon as received. Still turning rancid already. I guess I’ll have to try another brand. Hope they get the problem resolved soon.

We like to buy nuts in bulk when they are on sale and keep them in the refrigerator or freezer. In October 2022 I purchased 5 bags of these walnuts. They have a best used by date of May 19, 2023. I just opened the first bag and they smell and taste rancid. I am very disappointed because we have been eating these walnuts for several years and they have usually been quite good.

I buy these all the time. Have always been fresh. They DO need to be stored in the fridge or freezer or they will go rancid - that’s the same with all brands of walnuts. Sometimes I finish them in a month, sometimes 6 months and they have always stayed fresh in the fridge for me. The price is amazing compared to any grocery store, and they are high quality large pieces.

I like purchasing this in store so I can take a look at bag. Most bags are full if bigger pieces but have gotten a few bags with too many small pieces/crumbs. Always fresh and tasty. Family enjoys them….so do the squirrels :) Only bummer is price went up $3 since I last purchased a month or two ago. That’s a lot :(

I have been buying Walnuts from Sam’s club for years. When they switched from Diamond Brand to MM the quality became very poor. I have bought 3 bags since, hoping that it was just a bad batch, but still no better. Some are old and some are dried up and bitter. I have even found a few small shells. Please fix this.

I've purchased many bags of walnuts from Sam's over the years but lately the quality has become horrible. The last four bags (two each in store and two each shipped) have had a rancid odor and taste and are inedible. The QC department at Sam's needs to do better testing of the bags of walnuts.

Every year we experience the same thing. As you are cleaning the bins out from last years' crop a greater amount of rancid nuts show up. We finally quit buying Member's Mark walnuts until into next year. It's messy to spit out a mouthful of cereal and nuts two to three times per bowl at breakfast. PS They were bought at our locak Sam's, not online.

I bought 2 bags of these on May 2, 2023 since I was going to be baking a lot. I also eat them as a healthy snack from time to time. The price is good, the product is good, but both of these bags have had a defective ziplok seal, which makes it necessary to use a bag clip to reseal or transfer the nuts to another bag or storage container after opening. Hopefully whoever makes the bags corrects that problem.

Don't fall for the price. These walnuts taste HORRIBLE of some chemical taste! I repeat HORRIBLE. I had previously purchased some baking walnuts on the grocery baking aisle and they were PERFECT. More expensive than Sams but they TASTE right is all I can say. I plan to retrn them to Sams.
