Rancid - not fresh

I buy these all the time. These were rancid. Awful. They have been good in the past. Very disappointed as these are expensive. I kept them in the freezer only a week or so and took them to my Mom's she said they were not good. She is A-one at knowing food. After I got home I tried some more of them I found not every piece bad but mostly all did not taste up to par. I wondered why I only like them with salt on this batch.

I love the quality, but lately I have been finding pieces of shells in my bag. They are not all small pieces.I have too search through the nuts before using in recipes, fear someone bitting down on a shell. I have been purchasing this product for years and now this. It seems as if after Covid everything quality has dropped but the prices have not.

Bought it for the first time and I’m so disappointed. When I opened the packet, there was this overpowering god awful smell! I tried to get past it and tasted a few and they were just as bad as the smell. Have never tasted walnuts that are this bad. It’s a 3 lbs pack, now I wonder what I’m going to do with it.

Not fresh, even though it won’t expire for a year.

Fresh and a great product for baking, on ice cream and for snacking.

Can’t beat the price. The neighborhood squirrels love these.

Very good in baked goods and salads, especially if toasted. Will keep a long time in the freezer.
