Good price great taste

I bought these at the end of November, and they were sent to me with free shipping. The cookies were good but the shipping was very poor. I've frosted and decorated these cookies to pass out to friends and neighbors for a couple of years. Unfortunately, this year about a third of the cookies were broken and I couldn't decorate them.

I also bought several tins of these cookies for gifs and most of the cookies were broken. When I had them mailed never again I buy a lot of stuff from the company. I am a Prime member please respond with something I have several pictures if you would like to see them it is so upsetting when you give them for gifts.

I've purchased Danish butter cookies before, and in general they are pretty good. The reason for my low rating this time is that SAM's sent me an order that was already damaged DURING the packaging process. When you order these on line you have to order the two pack which also states that they are NON RETURNABLE !! I received my order on Oct. 28 and immediately contacted SAM's about it and wrote them that the ORIGINAL BOX from the importer which by a SAM's employe was put in another very sturdy box for shipping, was heavily crushed and the canister inside was smashed ! One can already guess how the contents will look like. I wrote SAM's that I thought it was pure ignorance to put a DAMAGED item in another box for shipping, which by the way showed NO DAMAGE AT ALL from transport ! As of this date, Nov. 5-2023, NO REACTION form SAM's was ever received about my complaint. SAM's used to be very quick to reacting to customers' complaints, but it seems now that things have changed for the worst at SAM's . HOW WILL SAM's INTERNET ORDERS NOW BE HANDLED SINCE WITH THE COMING HOLIDAYS A LOT MORE PURCHASES WILL BE DONE THROUGH THE INTERNET. I hope they will do a better training of their (new ?) employees and revise their return policy !!

Many cookies were broken and many were in crumb form.

I received 2 tins of mostly crumbs. Still taste good with cold milk.

These are best Danish butter cookies I have had. I ordered even after reading the reviews about them being broken. I did notice the two tins were in a heavy duty tightly fitting box. More then adequate to prevent the tin from being crushed. This box is clearly labeled this side up and fragile. Unfortunently the manufacturers box is placed in a SAMs Clubs box with no such markings. Not a stretch to believe upside down and thrown around would result in broken cookies.

Was considering these for Xmas gifts but, although seeming to be packed well, they were really broken up around the perimeter top to bottom. Tasty and a nice tin, but who wants to give mostly crumbles. Only Sam's item with which I've had issue and hope others receive better product. Maybe some that didn't fall off the truck more than once.

I buy these cookies every year. We love them. We bought them for Christmas. But were gone before then..None were broken for us. But we did buy them at the store. Tins do dent easy. But i just look for one thats not bent..As for shipping these. The way they handle my other items in shipping,I'd never ship these... Their shipping personal do not take care you each product..I think they kick them around like footballs..lol
