Did something Change?

My dogs just wont eat this anymore. I am not sure if the formula changed when the package did or what. My one pup had an allergy to the Salmon & Pea so I moved them to chicken. The chicken worked good but the same pup developed an allergy to it after the change, now my pups turn their noses up to it.

Only food my dog has eaten

We got our 70 lb mixed breed dog as a puppy in May 2020. Sam's brand food had good quality ingredients (no byproduct meals) and so we started him on the puppy food, then moved up to adult food as he grew. He's never had any other type of dry dog food. His black coat is shiny and sleek, and he has had no health problems, so this food is working for us. He doesn't gobble it down immediately (only because he's always hopeful something better, like a table scrap, may come along first.) For those concerned about the fact this food doesn't contain vegetables, well, he's a dog - they don't need vegetables or grains in their diet like people do. My only complaint is that the price of this food is almost $15 more than when I originally started purchasing it, but it's still cheaper than those other premium foods, and IMO, good quality. I will continue to purchase as long as my dog will eat it!

Would not recommend

I read the reviews, ingredients, did some research and thought this was a good food for my dogs. I started feeding them this food and they liked it. A few months later both started having diarrhea, one didn't want to eat it anymore and we did several tests thinking it was something else. Then, I thought "what if it's the Member's Mark food?". I switched them back to what I was feeding them previously. Within 2 weeks the G.I. problems stopped in both dogs. I believe there is something in that food that was making my dogs very sick.

Members Mark Complete Maintenance

This review is for the dog food in the green bag that is longer available. We fed our dogs Sams Club Complete Maintenance (green bag) for years. Our smallest and oldest one developed skin problems so we switched her to the corn-free Members Mark Excel chicken & Rice (yellow bag), however the bigger dogs continued on Complete Maintenance. At age 9, our otherwise healthy, active boxer mix started having abdominal pain and died within the month. One year later, almost to the day, our perfectly healthy, happy 8-yr old bull terrier mix started having bloody diarrhea and died within the month. Both were diagnosed as having cancer. Our small dog is still doing well at age 13 but I've taken her off members mark completely. I have no idea if this food caused the problems, I'm just stating what happened. I do feel that dog food from Sam's is not reliable, as they only distribute it, sourcing from 3rd parties. There's no guaranteeing where or how it's made. No longer will we gamble with our dogs' lives by taking a chance on cheaper products.

Awful for my dog

I bought this two days ago since our store was out of the salmon members mark dog food and my dog has never been more sick. She ate a bowl for lunch/dinner and had diarrhea all night. I thought maybe it was a table scrap that caused the reaction but after another day and night she continued to have awful diarrhea. I will try to return. I certainly will not be buying this one for her again.

Made my dogs deathly ill

I don't know what happened. I was feeding my dogs a similar product that was name brand. I carefully checked ingredients and nutritional values and it seemed comparable. However all 3 of my dogs became deathly ill. Our vet suggested switching back to our old brand and within a day they were better. I really was wanting this to work. Disappointed that it didn't.

Golden Retriever loves it

She loves this flavor and the lamb and rice. Great vet check up. He asked what we were feeding her and types of treats and he said keep doing the same. The bags have a nice zipper on top too...easy to use and store. I feel good about the ingredients and the price is excellent for the quality.

Dog food

My dogs loved this food, and then they change the ingredients recently and all of a sudden they stopped eating it. I mixed it with wet food and They still want nothing to do with it. It's a bummer now I have to go on the hunt for a different kind of dog food.

4 VERY happy dogs!

We've fed our dogs this food for a while and then tried to “do better” as a lot of people kept suggesting “better” brands. My dogs love this food, and one of them actually got sick on a big name & expensive brand and we were told by the Vet to come back to this. We did and it's been 3 months now and they love it, and they're happy on it. I suggest this food to anyone who wants their dogs eating quality food on a budget.

If It's Not Broke, Don't Fix It!

I have had my 2 labs on Exceed Grain Free for awhile now. I just bought up 4 big bags (2 chicken, 2 lamb flavors) for winter. They REFUSED to eat it! I didn't realize when I bought it, that it was "New & Improved Formula". Well, it isn't improved! I hate it, but had to return it to store. Now, I have to start all over to find a grain free, meat#1 ingredient, healthy dog food that my dogs will eat!
