This review is for the dog food in the green bag that is longer available. We fed our dogs Sams Club Complete Maintenance (green bag) for years. Our smallest and oldest one developed skin problems so we switched her to the corn-free Members Mark Excel chicken & Rice (yellow bag), however the bigger dogs continued on Complete Maintenance. At age 9, our otherwise healthy, active boxer mix started having abdominal pain and died within the month. One year later, almost to the day, our perfectly healthy, happy 8-yr old bull terrier mix started having bloody diarrhea and died within the month. Both were diagnosed as having cancer. Our small dog is still doing well at age 13 but I've taken her off members mark completely. I have no idea if this food caused the problems, I'm just stating what happened. I do feel that dog food from Sam's is not reliable, as they only distribute it, sourcing from 3rd parties. There's no guaranteeing where or how it's made. No longer will we gamble with our dogs' lives by taking a chance on cheaper products.

Our 1 1/2 year old lab mix started on Rachel Ray chicken and rice puppy food, then he didn't like the adult food of that brand….we fed him purina dog chow in the chicken Bc my sister feeds her 4 dogs the same food, but he started having really bad skin issues. Always scratching and biting, no ticks or fleas either! As soon as we brought home this food, he went crazy and has licked his bowl clean by the end of the day for 3-4 days so far!! Big change from not really being interested in the purina. Still working on finishing the transition from the old to the new, but I can already tell the difference in his scratching!!!!

My 3YO lab mix has never had seasonal allergies, so I was a bit surprised when he suddenly started constantly licking his paws. It got so bad (all through the night licking, then gooey eyes in morning) that I took him to vet. Wasn't until later I realized I had switched his food from the Rachel Ray stuff I usually buy at Sam's (but preferably Purina One when I can find it) around the same time the paw licking started. A previous dog I had DID have similar symptoms caused by allergies, but this was not that. Switching away from this and lesson learned I guess not to cheap out on dog food.

Amidst the shortage of, well, everything.... we had to find a replacement dog food for our youngest because the brand we fed her was never in stock anywhere and was being sold nearly triple the price by third parties. It started off fine. She ate it and we didn't have any problems. Fast foward a month and a half and we start finding little drops of what we first assume are water or slobber around the house. No bigge, our older dog drools and is a messy drinker. Well... after another week or so, I started noticing more droplets and then noticed they were happening in rooms far from their water bowls and they hadn't drank in a while. So I watched and lo-and-behold, my youngest is dripping urine. Took her to the vet and labs showed she had either a bladder infection/UTI or vaginosis due to an unknown cause. $300 later we're home, she's still dripping everywhere, and we only have hope that the antibiotics will work. Surprise, surprise. They don't. So I have a thought and I scoure our local stores and finally manage to find the food she had been eating in the past. Click. Order. Paid an extra $20 for same day delivery (didn't have time to go shop myself). We switched slowly so that it wouldn't hurt her tummy, but the last couple days she's been eating solely her other food (NOT this stuff) and we have had minimal to no issues. tl:dr This dog food gave my dog a bladder infection/UTI and I will be throwing out the nearly half a bag we have remaining.

For years we bought EXCEED, then they stopped selling it and switched to Members Mark. Since switching to Members Mark our lab has been chewing on her feet. They are very red and sore looking. We were told she has a food allergy. This happened once before when the food had colored dye in it, but this doesn't. Will stop using Members Mark for this reason.

Just started my dog on this. Not sure if it's related but she has thrown up twice. And yes I gradually switched the food mixing it until old was gone. She loves the new food though so I'm not sure if it is the food or not. Anyone have any idea or think it could be the food? She eats the chicken one.

I don't know what happened. I was feeding my dogs a similar product that was name brand. I carefully checked ingredients and nutritional values and it seemed comparable. However all 3 of my dogs became deathly ill. Our vet suggested switching back to our old brand and within a day they were better. I really was wanting this to work. Disappointed that it didn't.

My dogs originally liked the taste of this dog food. Then they stopped eating as much as they should be eating of dog food. They also have developed bad cases of gas (all four of my dogs in varying sizes). I will not be buying this dog food again. It is rare to find a dog food that causes such stinky flatulence in all 4 of my dogs and will stick to other dog foods. It's a shame because this was a nice reasonably priced dog food.

Thought I would up grade from the performance Food. Apparently it was not an up grade. My dogs would not touch this food. I have a 70lb Pitbull that's eats everything but would not eat this food. It did not look tasty, more like dog food that had been in the sun for a year.

I read the reviews, ingredients, did some research and thought this was a good food for my dogs. I started feeding them this food and they liked it. A few months later both started having diarrhea, one didn't want to eat it anymore and we did several tests thinking it was something else. Then, I thought "what if it's the Member's Mark food?". I switched them back to what I was feeding them previously. Within 2 weeks the G.I. problems stopped in both dogs. I believe there is something in that food that was making my dogs very sick.
