Wow, these things smell.

The first thing I did when I got them was to open them up. They smelled kinda bad and weird. They turned out greasy and tasted weird. Aftertaste was a bit worse. Returning these. I hope it's just a bad batch. Will change the review if the replacement is better.

Crispy Yummy

These are really crispy to perfection. They're not so hard that you can't eat them but just enough where they aren't too soft. They are a tad bit on the greasy side, which gives it a particular taste that I can't pinpoint. They do need some more salt/flavor! Even as such, they are crispy deliciousness with zero carbs, best part!

Lots of rocks and bland flavor

These are a good value for the price and you get a giant plastic bin to store stuff in afterwards. The flavor is light, but clean. This is definitely not a higher quality pork rind and that's ok. Everything has a trade off. My biggest complaint is the number of absolute rocks in the container. By that I mean pork rinds that are so over cooked they are literally capable of injuring a tooth. My estimate is 10-15% of the bucket are these rocks. Just be careful of those and you have a lower sodium, light flavored, low cost snack

Don’t Buy Pork Rinds!

Almost all the member’s mark products we buy are really good! We bought this huge jar of pork rinds today. They are terrible! I would say inedible! Sam’s should definitely change who they contract with for this item! Anyone who gave this a 4 or 5 should try Mission brand!

Nearly expired

I had 2 containers shipped to my home and thought they tasted old and dried out. I looked at the expiration date and discovered these snacks were within a few weeks of expiration. I think the old stuff is shipped direct while the fresh snacks are more available in the store. Very disappointed - threw them all in the trash

Fried in Rendered Pork Fat and NOT vegetable oil

These are fried in their own rendered pork fat. There are only 2 ingredients fried pork rinds and salt, so vegetable oil is not used only rendered pork fat is used to fry the pork rinds. This is good news for Keto dieters! We love them. Not too salty and share with our dog. Great with sour cream mixed with Cholula Hot sauce! Yum!

Great for keto!

These have a texture more similar to cheese puffs, not like the super crunchy brands of pork rinds. I don’t normally eat pork rinds alone, athough my kids love eating these as a snack. I love to pulse these in my blender until they resemble breadcrumbs, season them well, and freeze them in 1-cup containers to use for breading my air-fried keto/low carb chicken tenders and drumsticks. Two thumbs up! My picky kids also love this recipe. These pork rinds work perfectly for this purpose.

Meh

So this is my first purchase of Sam's house brand fried pork rinds. Not because I didn't want the usual Utz brand or just thought I'd try them, but because Utz is no longer available in my Sam's store. They're not awful, they're just not as flavorful as Utz pork rinds. Possibly it's because the Members Mark brand they picked for me (I ordered on line for store pick-up) has less than 3 months left on the "Best By" date. Since these are new to my store, they must have dug deep in the warehouse to get rid of the short dated merchandise. Or possible this is the best they can do. I'll never know because I probably won't buy them again. As far as value, the Members Mark house brand is 5¢ less per ounce than the Utz brand, but when I factor in the overall experience with this product, that savings is insignificant. I don't mind paying for freshness, quality, and a name brand's reputation. When it comes to paying a little extra for something as crucial as peace of mind with regard to food processing and handling, I consider that extra 5¢ per ounce a good investment.

Not the same since they changed them

I don't know what they changed on these from the ones they sold before, but these are absolutely disgusting and we will never purchase them again. I thought my wife was whining when she said they tasted funny and her stomach was upset afyer eating a few from a new unopened container, but after I tried a few I knew she was right. They taste terrible, they leave a greasy nasty aftertaste in your mouth, and just don't sit right once they hit your stomach. Pass them up when you see them, you won't regret it.

Perfect with homemade pimento cheese

First container I purchased via pickup were a little banged up and had many smaller pieces & crumbs, but were still good. 2nd & most recent container purchased had large pieces that were super airy & fresh. LOVE these with homemade pimento cheese, perfect low carb snack! A trick, pop these in the air fryer for a short couple minutes for a freshly made taste!
