I got a bag of this rice and immediately placed it in a sealed food container. A few weeks later, bugs hatched in it. They did not escape thank goodness, due to the container. I will be staying away from this product in the future.

I used to buy this rice with no issues until I bought this last bag, rice had mold, lots of unpeeled grains and artifacts unknown to me, I won’t buy it again.

MEAL STAPLE

This is the dirtiest rice I have ever tried to cook. Its not only excessive hulls and things, there is literal dirt. Despite saying long grain, the grains are medium at best and very broken up. Its also covered in white powder, which Im sure is the enriched part. Id rather have rice without harmful synthetic additives. I gave it two stars because once its thouroughly cleaned and cooked it tastes fine.

No matter if I cook using the exact water method, or use extra water and strain the excess, there are always a high percentage of grains that don't even begin to cook. After 20 min, some is nearly perfect, and any extra cooking time turns those grains to mush way before the others even approach being soft. I've tried on stove top and also in a covered glass dish in the microwave, it never turns out right. The Member's Mark parboiled, in the square box ALWAYS comes out right!

Nasty

I love rice and I thought I could cook any brand rice. Well this one tricked me. I will never buy again. I'm not sure if it was this batch or not. After letting this rice cook for 45 minutes, there were still grains that were not cook. As I said before, I will never buy again!

We opened the bag with the string for about 6 cup for gumbo . Very delicately tied the string back to the dry place in the rice cabinet. Our new found rice is delicious cooked perfectly for our shrimp jalapeño Turkey sausage chicken gumbo my husbands makes for the winter months and special occasions.

Lord this rice is difficult to cook. Even with the most optimal process and rice cooker, it is still unstable. I had to return it and buy the Jasmin rice outright. Sam's should be ashamed for selling such rubbish quality rice. This is mud rice, not long grained rice. It's very muddy, and doesn't cook evenly.

Horrible - cooks gummy.
