Fresh and healthy snake

These are the freshest pecan halves on the market! The only thing fresher are if you picked and shelled them yourself. I've tried MANY different brands from many different stores. Sam's Pecan Halves are so fresh and delicious, and they stay that way all the way through the bag. I sometimes forget to stop eating them! And the price is comparable and most times even lower than stores. I'd almost given up on finding fresh-tasting packaged pecans. These are definitely the best!

We always bought these pecans from Sam's, especially around the holidays for candy and baking. I don't know what happened, but the two bags that we bought before Christmas had a great number of black, dead, bitter and/or rancid pecans. At first, I did what I always did, just picked out the few that I couldn't use. But then I noticed I was throwing out more and more, so I emptied the bag on freezer paper. Yikes! There were so many that I couldn't use. The good thing about Sam's is I can get a refund. The bad thing is that I have to drag myself to the Club to get the refund. I put all the unusable pecans in one bag and it was about half of one bag!

Sam's Club really seems to be replacing quality items with inferior Member's Mark products and this is prime example. These pecans are bitter, shriveled and, in some cases, just plain rotten. Considering that I threw out about a cup, it is not a money saving buy. Please listen to your customers and bring back quality products.
