The nuts are excellent, but the bag was split when they arrived, When I carried the box inside, nuts were falling out of it onto the ground/floor. . I salvaged the ones still in the box, assuming they are clean enough to use. There was no packing in the box, and maybe the movement of the items moving around during shipping caused it to split.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased 2 bags of your Daily Chef Fancy Pecan Halves. When I opened the first bag I thought that the pecans tasted rancid. My husband thought that they were okay. I have to admit not every pecan taste rancid, but for the most part the entire bag has. Now I have opened the second bag (I did not finish the first bag, I am thinking of putting them in the trash) and the first pecan I tried did not have a good pecan flavor either. I have even tried toasting them and it has not helped the flavor. The code on both bags is SH-SS-SN vendor 577775. Over the years I have purchased pecans from Sam’s Club and they have been good. Has anyone else had a problem with these pecans or is there a recall on them? I would really like my money back, but I did not keep my receipt.

We purchased at least 10 bags of these pecans to make candied pecans for 100 guests as wedding favors this spring. I can't attest to how they tasted raw as we pretty much cooked them immediately but they were quite delicious and tender once candied. If you're planning on buying these for cooking or baking, the price is an amazing deal.
