Go Back to the original ones you carried

I have to pick through the pecans and take out the shrivel dark ones and the shells. Very disappointed. I understand you want your own brand, but we want quality. You did this with the cream cheese and now the pecans. If you are not going to make quality products at least give us the option of buying the name brand as well. My clients noticed the difference, I stopped buying the cream cheese and now I will have to find another supplier for pecans, after 25 years of being a member you are making it no longer worth while

Bitter Old Moldy Pecans

All of the bags of pecans we purchased this fall & winter with the new bag & labeling are horribly bitter. They are also old, soft & dark with something black in the crevices. I worked myself to exhaustion for a week making holiday candies & treats only to discover ALL of the pecans were bitter & unedable. This was a huge waste of time, money, ruined all of my work, all of the food gifts we were going to give friends & robbed us of our traditional Christmas goodies. Purchasing these pecans cost us so much! Sam's must have known for months these pecans were old & bitter. My sister in SC, mom in FL & family in NC had the exact same experience with their Sam's pecans. This is a nat'l Sam's issue. We've been buying the Sam's pecans for more than 2 decades. They used to be fresh & good. Earlier this year the label changed & so did the quality of pecans. We also had several bags tainted with fuzzy green mold & had to discard them. We will not buy these again. Sam's has lost our trust regarding pecans.

Disappointed....To many Unusable Pecans!

We always bought these pecans from Sam's, especially around the holidays for candy and baking. I don't know what happened, but the two bags that we bought before Christmas had a great number of black, dead, bitter and/or rancid pecans. At first, I did what I always did, just picked out the few that I couldn't use. But then I noticed I was throwing out more and more, so I emptied the bag on freezer paper. Yikes! There were so many that I couldn't use. The good thing about Sam's is I can get a refund. The bad thing is that I have to drag myself to the Club to get the refund. I put all the unusable pecans in one bag and it was about half of one bag!

Second bad package I've gotten

The order from April 11, 2022 was horrible. The pecans were very dark, some black and several actually had mold on them. I was hoping I just received a bad batch. I ordered again on June 27, 2022 and these aren't quite as bad but they are nothing like they used to be. They are stale, dark and some are rancid tasting. Will not order again.

Inexpensive Pecans

I've bought these many times and been very happy with them. Unfortunately, my recent purchase hasn't been up to par. Many of the pecans are almost flat and dark in color. They taste awful, so now I sort them out and throw them away. Disapppointed this time.

Unsatisfactory

Bought a pack few days ago. Just opened and tried some today. Really unpleased. Pecan is so humid and does not taste fresh like usual. Looks to me like it has been exposed to a large amount of water moisture during the production process. Very unsatisfactory.

Very poor quality

The last 4 bags of pecan halves I have purchased from Sam's have been awful. I kept purchasing them because in the past the pecans were very good and a great price and I thought maybe it was just a bad batch or two. As long as Sam's sells the Member's Mark pecans, I'll purchase elsewhere. They were old, rancid and many were black. Total waste of time and money.

Pecans

I love shopping at Sam’s Club and the value that you can get on many of the items you can find here. These pecans, however, are very poor quality. The bag that I purchased contained pecans that were soft and chewy. I returned it and found a bag of pecans of higher quality for a similar price at another retailer nearby.

Nasty

Sam's Club really seems to be replacing quality items with inferior Member's Mark products and this is prime example. These pecans are bitter, shriveled and, in some cases, just plain rotten. Considering that I threw out about a cup, it is not a money saving buy. Please listen to your customers and bring back quality products.

Quality Control Issues

Bought two bags of these pecans on our last trip and put them in the freezer when we got home. We later made roasted cinnamon sugar pecans as we have in the past. Every handful we tried had at least one rancid pecan. Some were so bad, we couldn't wash the taste out of our mouths. Although the good ones did outweigh the bad ones and a large pan would normally be gone in a few days, the container has been sitting on the shelf for several weeks now as everyone is afraid of them. What a waste!
