Member Mark pancake mix

I bought this huge bag of pancake mix because my grandkids love pancakes. The first time I made them I was immediately turned off by a strange taste that I didn’t like. It’s hard to describe but a sweet, weird taste that isn’t normally in regular pancake mix. I was going to toss it but the grandkids still eat it. Will not be reordering!

Yuck

We used to buy Krusteaz, then we switched to the Daily Chef. No problems. Then... This Member's Mark stuff replaced that and it's HORRIBLE! It tastes like food grade WOOD PULP with a strong sent of vanilla and Almond flavors. My kids refuse to eat it and now we buy smaller quantities of Krusteaz at the grocery store.

great taste and texture

I’ve tried a lot of pancake mixes and many recipes. I’ve also bought about 3 of these bags so far. The taste and texture is the best of all the mixes I’ve tried. Some of the reviews state gummy or not fluffy pancakes. This is more likely a user error. Over mixing and too much water will ruin your pancakes.

Very sweet pancakes

I bought this because, I see that the Krustez brand is no longer available in the store. Its easy to use and makes nice cakes. The taste is another thing. In my opinion the batter is far to sweet. Its like eating wedding cake. Try again, Members Mark brand, modify your recipe for this batter. Ease up on the sugar.

Simple enough for kids to make.

I often make pancakes from scratch with whole wheat flour... but, sometimes I need something which is quicker and easy enough for my kids to make. This hist the mark! My kids love the taste, and it is simple enough that even my youngest (now 10 yr old) can make a batch of pancakes! (although I usually end up cleaning up after her).

Terrible!!

I purchased this because they stopped selling the brand I previously have purchased and this is by far the worst pancake mix I have ever used. I pretty much am going to have to toss the entire bag...it is like vanilla cake mix & no one in the house cares for it. Bring back what you once had because I will never use this again and I do not recommend it to anyone else. Very disappointed in wasting my money.

As good as krusteaz but better..

Ive always been a krusteaz pancake mix fan and would always keep the biggest bag in our pantry for when someone wants pancakes or waffles, but they always turn a certain dark color over time.. not even past its expiration date it does that. But these (tbh i actually thought they were krusteaz when i bought them) almost 2 years later, havent changed color at all! Theyre as fresh as when i first purchased them, i just made a batch for our breakfast this morning and theyre yummy. Maybe its the seal? Whatever it is, youre doing something right, and i have nothing but gratitude to give. Thank you sams club!

Make waffles and freeze

I love having this big bag handy. I bought a Dash waffle maker and I make several batches of little round waffles all at once, put them on a cookie sheet, freeze first and then stack them in a bread bag and back into the freezer. Whenever you want a couple just pop them into the toaster! Oh, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract into the mix and when the waffles in the toaster you can smell the vanilla heating up, yum.
