Won't scoop

I bought this product a month ago not realizing they switched the formula to "new improved 4 in1 control". We used the old 'Simply right' product for more than 5 years and it worked great. Now 'Member's mark' doesn't form clumps, not scoopable at all. I will have to change to the next in line product which is twice more expensive, but does the job. Why did they have to change?

Meh!

To be fair we bought and tried using a whole bucket twice and it did not seem to be improved from the latter time of buying and using. In a nut shell it does nothing to eliminate odor and it is pretty dusty. It does clump the urine decently but that's the only plus about the product.

Please bring this back!

I have been trying to get this litter since March 2021. Seems they have discontinued it. So extremely disappointed in Sam's Club. My 2 cats love this brand & I do as well since it clumps nicely. Not a heavy perfume smell like others. Purchased Tidy Cats as a substitute & I as well as my cats absolutely hate it. It does not clump at all & when you try to scoop the pee spots it just breaks apart leaving it all in the litter box so we end up having to ladle it out.so the ammonia smell doesnt get too strong. I will never but Tidy Cats again! PLEASE BRING BACK MEMBER'S MARK CAT LITTER!

Poor Odor control

I bought this two weeks ago. I was excited about the price. We scoop every two days. It does an okay job of clumping, it is very dusty, and the odor control is non-existent. I came home today of my house smelling awful. It took me a while to track down the odor source and this is it. Tomorrow morning I'm going to get my old brand, and throw this stuff out.

Cost Effective Litter For My Cats & Fosters

I have 3 cats of my own and frequently have anywhere from 3 to as many as 12 or 14 foster cats and kittens for a couple local shelters. The Member's Mark litter served me pretty well at a reasonable price. It wasn't uncommon for me to buy anywhere from 2 to 4 buckets at a time so it's an understatement to say that I miss it being available at my Denton, Texas Sam's Club...

Cheap, but top of the line cheap...

This Member's Mark cat litter is sold in a sturdy pail with a molded plastic hinged lid and metal handle, making it useful for around the house, garden, garage, etc. after you have finished with the product inside. It holds up well for quite a while; a few uses if you make concrete in it, all the way up to a few years if it's kept mostly out of sunlight. It's perfect for moving small loads of dirt around the garden or yard. You can make it a tool caddy, a screw/nail/spare bolts bucket. It's great for a wash bucket for your car, truck, minivan, motorcycle, or tractor. (I would suggest washing it out after its contents have been depleted, so you do not have any residue that could potentially scratch the paint on your vehicle of choice.) The ideas are almost endless. The bucket, although not worth +/-$10 on its own, does at least make you feel like you didn't waste your money. As far as the litter inside of this hidden gem of a pail, this will be a true winner for someone on a tight budget, or if you have seven cats like we do. It is absolutely not the best litter on the market. There is no question about that. Now, it doesn't do a terrible job of controlling odor, but if you get a box of baking soda (any brand, I'm not making a commercial here!), add it to your litter and mix it in, you are set. That will resolve that smelly issue. It is a clumping clay litter. Again, it is not the best clumping litter, but we are working on a budget here. It does clump. They do crumble more times than not. But if you are careful and take a little bit more time, you can successfully pretend this is better than it actually is. Finesse, people. It's an art form! Let me mention here that you don't want to put too much baking soda in the litter box. An overabundance will destroy your chances at perfecting your art... And ruin your Saturday (if you clean litter boxes on Saturday, that is.) The key is to remember that cats are going to urinate and deposit solid waste into this product. It performs perfectly in its intended use. There is no difference between this brand and the most expensive brand. It will be used exactly the same way by your feline companions. No need to worry about its efficiency in that capacity. It can handle the job! And, it sticks to their paws as good as any name brand litter, so they can spread it around the house as usual. Did I mention the handy pail?

Cancel litter, cancel membership

Seriously, we justify the Sam's Club membership because of this litter. We have 5 cats and this is the best deal we can find, not to mention the cats love it, and so do we. Feel free to check our acct. Purchasing has decreased a LOT since you stopped carrying this litter. Everything else we can find elsewhere....just saying.

Good stuff

I see a lot of negative reviews and I'm not sure why. My wife IS the crazy cat lady. We have 5 and we foster as many as 6 at a time. For our 5, we have 3 boxes in the basement where I work and have a "man room". If you keep the level up, just like big name brands, it's clumps just fine. I get zero dust or at least a lot less than the big brands we have used in the past. I only wanted to try it and now am convinced that as long as they keep the product exactly as it is, I will continue to use it.

Not as good as it used to be

I've been purchasing the Member's Mark brand for a while, but unfortunately, this last time I noticed that it is not the same! The new formula does not clump as good as before and it does not covers the smell either. Feeling disappointed because I really liked this product before.

Best Value in Kitty Litter -- Please Bring it Back

I loved the convenient stackable buckets and this kitty litter is the best value on the market for a clumpable litter that doesn't have that overwhelming perfume odor. Other scented litters make my eyes water and this litter had a reasonable level of scent. Yes, this litter does have dust, but if you avoid pouring it and use a scoop and gently lay it in the litter box, the dust is not a problem. I can't see paying four times as much for a 'dust-less' litter.
