Leaks when you have to travel

It's a good value for what it is and a nice generous size. My issue is that when transporting it leaks everywhere as there are two places for water to come out, so you either have to bring water in something separate like a thermos or find a workaround. I've wrapped it in towels and put it in a cooler or bin. You can also take the straw dispensing part out and put a stopper in its place (a small HydroFlask flex cap fits well or something the size of a Keurig pod).

Great capacity but inside shattered

Nice capacity, worked well for keeping coffee hot. I bought this for my work breakroom and we used it sparingly. I was just informed the inside glass shattered while my worker was hand washing it. I've never had issues hand washing, but I just want other buyers to beware; have no idea how that happened.

Looks Great, Great Price, Outstanding Value!

We are very happy with this product overall and use it daily. It keeps our coffee hot for at least 8 hours (but not overnight) and is easy to use. The stainless steel exterior is easy to clean and looks nice. The top swings open far enough for us to fit our coffee maker cone directly into the airpot, and the lever is easy to operate to dispense the contents. Nearly the entire contents can be dispensed...less than two or three teaspoons remain when emptied. The only negatives are that it is too tall to fit under our cabinets and too tall to fit under the kitchen faucet for cleaning. Also, like all airpots made with glass vacuum bottles, the glass bottle can be broken if handled carelessly or dropped. The under-$20 price tag and the 2.2L capacity makes this an outstanding 5-star value. We used Click 'n Pull to order and picked up the product within 24 hrs!

Best Price Anywhere for 2.2L Airpot

I've owned this product for about three years. It replaced a vintage one lined in plastic found in my home. Probably over 30 years old and still reeking of coffee all those years later. It was impossible to clean and make use of for anything but more coffee. However, I didn't want the health hazards associated with hot coffee and plastic. Thus began my search for a glass-lined airpot, which I found here at Sam's Club. Unlike the stainless steel and plastic lined pots that stain and retain odors, the glass vacuum lining works to retain heat longer but odors and stains less. Cleanup is easy using extremely hot water and vinegar. Fill to capacity, let it soak an hour or overnight, dispense about 1/3 of the vinegar through the dispenser and rinse. Not sure what the other reviewer is saying about it being hard to clean. You aren't supposed to be using an abrasive cleaner on glass because it could scratch and shatter when you least expect it. The 8-hour heat rating is on the conservative side. If you start with boiling water it will be piping hot over 12 hours later, and warm two days later. Now one thing I'm not clear about is why Sam's Club has this same manufacturer, same looking airpot and the same capacity listed twice, one that is about $10 more expensive than this one. They look and read the same (item #624578 vs. this model). I haven't had any problem with the plastic chrome-look lever breaking, either. Perhaps the person who is complaining is using it in an industrial or commercial setting and should be buying an airpot rated for heavier use. This model, however, is ideal for home use. Hot water is always ready and waiting for tea, coffee, cocoa, soup and other cooking uses without any hit to one's electrical bill. Honestly, I don't know why those electric kettles are so popular when they leave the user tethered to a cord and they cost so much more. With a vacuum-glass lining you don't need that. As proof I point to the restaurants who use these to keep their coffee and tea hot. One important thing to point out is that one should push the dispensing lever with the palm gently. Scalding hot liquid can splatter if you are in a hurry and push it too fast. Pulling the lever down by the fingertips could be the reason the other person had breakage issues. No such bad luck here. For that matter, I never even noticed the lever WAS plastic. The worst thing I can say about this airpot is that the stainless steel finish is a pain. It looks nice at first but it will scratch and ding pretty fast, as most stainless steel trim does. Also, the logo will rub off and look pretty tattered in time. By far the most negative thing I can think to say is that this airpot at this pricepoint isn't available in white. I would prefer a white model to better match my kitchen. There is only one model I found online that matches this criteria, manufactured by a competitor, and it is nearly $100. I can't justify spending that when this present airpot works so well. I don't know how Sam's Club did it, but you just can't get a better value on a genuine glass-lined airpot ANYWHERE online. Sure you can get them smaller, but not this nice for the price. I especially like the lever. When in the upright position it serves to remind you that there is liquid in the pot. The push-button type airpot dispensers don't look any different when they are empty or full. The lever type dispenser on this model is also easier to use than the button type. I highly recommend this product.

Not happy with how it holds the heat.

I bought this to take to a market to showcase a cocoa mix. After about 4 hours the cocoa was lukewarm even though it was boiling when it went into the pot. I also primed the pot for 30 minutes by pouring in 212* water to heat it up before adding the cocoa. Disappointed.

Long lasting heat!!

I bought this Airpot a little over a year ago. It has performed as expected except.... it keeps coffee hot longer than I thought it would. So, I made coffee one day before I left around 5:00pm. My goal was to have cold coffee the next day for an iced coffee so I just place the whole pot in my walk-in cooler (average 38 - 42 degrees). Next day, I decided to reheat the cold coffee for the early am and save the iced coffee for that afternoon. Anyway, I went to fill upl my cup and IT WAS STILL HOT (not piping hot) from the previous day!! I'm talking about 15 hours later!! That's impressive to me. Fast forward to my 3:00 break (ice coffee time) and it's was just now getting to room temp, not even cold yet. That's impressive.

Keeps coffee hot but.....

The airpot has great ability to keep coffee warm, but the box states, "easy cleaning"...laughable. I would like to see their idea of DIFFICULT cleaning!! First you have to remove the top, which the directions neglect to tell you HOW to remove the top. I figured that out and continued on with the directions..."clean interior with soft sponge or cloth", OK. In order to actually REACH the interior you have to REMOVE A SCREW!! They recommend using a bleach solution to pump through nozzle as well. If all that weren't enough, you then are given "directions" for cleaning the bellows, which is the pump assembly in the top. It tells you to apply pressure and release the bottom plate, well, I've applied about all the pressure I can short of breaking the thing and I still can't get it off. The rest of the directions go as follows,"Allow bellows to soak for 10 minutes in the disinfecting solution. After 2 minutes, gently squeeze the bellows and agitate the bellows. Repeat every two minutes. Remove the from the cleaning solution. The interior surface of the bellows is accessible through the large hole in one end of the bellows. Rinse the bellows in clean hot water to remove traces of the cleaning solution. If residue remains, insert a household disinfectant wipe into the large bellow's hole and hand wipe the surface." And this is AFTER you've already removed the screw to reach the inside... I don't have the time to adequately clean this thing and the directions don't indicate whether your supposed to do this intensive cleaning EVERY time or just occasionally. I so wanted to love this pot and if not for the cleaning...I would have kept it.

Airpot is a good item

I LOVE my old Airpot because almost all the parts are stainless steel but this new one has more plastic : ( Not a fan of the plastic tube that sits in the hot liquids inside the thermos part. Prefer my stainless steel tube in the older model. Better made! Still an excellent product but hate to see plastic replacing stainless steel : /
