We purchased 4 of these containers for holding various for our winter birds and chickens because we found that field mice were chewing through our other containers. What a good decision! The construction is great and the bin-style is ergonomically better in that it enables you to scoop the seeds without the long reach when seeds are getting low. The lid screws on with a middle raised area that makes it easy to open. It opens smoothly. We don't worry about seeds getting wet and ruining them. Very satisfied and we are definitely going to purchase more.

We purchased this larger secure container for cat food. We feed SEVERAL stray cats and some adopted ones. This sturdy container is large enough to last around 3 weeks between purchases for feed. We had a problem with racoons opening our previous food storage. The large opening lid is easy to pour feed into and the screw type keeps the raccoons from stealing all the feed!

I bought 2 40lb Gamma Vault pet food storage containers 17 years ago and I still use them. I now have 4 large and 1 small dogs now. They eat up to 100lbs of dry food per month. I buy dog food only once per month. This works perfect. I actually have 2 60 lb containers, one was given to me. They seal tight with the soft seal around the top. I have never had any bugs or spoilage in any since I have owned them, or any of the gamma vaults I have owned. I trust the brand and the product. You will too.

Theses are not stackable as advertised. The bottom one crumpled under the weight of the one on top.
