I used to close a very large container of powdered Gatorade in case it falls down I won't have to worry about the top coming off. Used for two returns and it worked great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this heavy duty tape great for cardboard box packages because of its strength. Superior hold for cardboard and heavy box materials. Clear tape is see-through which is good to put over address labels too. The easy to dispense holder is a plus as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used my Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping tape to mail a box. At first I didn't think the tape itself felt sticky enough to adhere properly to the box but after applying it I realized it was indeed sticky enough and would hold fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and the company recently sent me a sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping tape. I used it to seal up a package being sent across the country and it held up really well. I did notice that a piece to grab when first starting the tape was missing and that would be really nice in order to start the tape. It stuck to my package no problem, but it also kept sticking to the holder that it glides on just before the cutter and that was frustrating. After getting it unstuck multiple times from it's very own holder it worked great. I would recommend this tape to anyone needing to hold a package closed. If you look in the included picture you can see that it kept sticking to the holder, it may be user error, I am not sure.

They do the smaller scotch tape with a colored non sticky tab to lift and start...why not this? Aside from that, the dispenser portion is solid and works well, the tape is sticky and stays stuck to boxes and envelopes well, and it doesn't seem like it will tear or come loose when shipping. Once I got it started it was easy to dispense onto the box and it's wide enough to cover a seam with a single strip. I received a free sample of this product to review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite tape! Taping packages is just one of the many things I use it for, but one "unorthodox" use is to remove other things. For example, if I remove a label and it leaves part of the label and/or a sticky residue, I put a piece of this tape over it, press it down, and then remove the tape......takes everything with it! As for its main purpose.....it is the best packing tape you can buy.

The tape itself is so sturdy that it gives me complete confidence when sending packages in the mail, by courier, or even for storage purposes. I honestly feel better knowing I am using Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape. The dispenser is, well, dispensable! *LOL* It makes it so convenient you do not have to worry about scissors. Now, if you are like me and sometimes finish your taping work a the post office, this is the most convenient way to use the tape. I love this product!
