[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best packing tape! This is strong tape, but easy to handle. The dispenser is compact but very effective and easy to use. This tape is strong enough to tape cartons of books with just one strip! The adhesive on the tape really holds, unlike other packing tape it won't pull off when you least expect it. I received a sample of this tape and used it and another brand when packing up my daughter's old books. The Scotch brand tape was clearly superior. The other brand needed several strips to hold heavy loads, but the Scotch tape was more secure with a single strip. That saves time and money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape does wonders, its not just for shipping, since its clear i have also been using it to fix books that the kids have ripped apart or are to rough with. The dispenser makes it nice and easy to rip off a piece of tape without having to find a scissors to complete the job. Have not had any issues with the tape, also if you feel the thickness of the tape you can tell its heavy duty. If you were to compare this to some generic brand there is a remarkable difference. Definitely choose 3M when possible. I was provided a sample of the 3M Heavy duty tape for a review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It comes with a holder that allows easy application and cutting making it a fast and convenient way to seal packages. It allows covering labels and addresses because its crystal clear. Repair of cartons or other containers is also fast and easy.

This tape is terrible! Sadly I bought 2 6 packs and we are in the middle of moving. I'm not going to go out and buy more tape so this is what I'm stuck with. First I'm constantly losing the end, when I find it and start to pull up 70% of the time it will split into at least 2 pieces. At one time I had it split 4 different ways. I've had a few times where it splits and I think I've got it back to one piece but then a giant triangular piece pulls off unexpectedly and I'm back to trying to find the end. It also doesnt hold well at all. I couldn't imagine using this to send packages in the mail. They would definitely open. Luckily we are just moving so the boxes will be up right at all times. Hopefully the bottoms stay sealed. All the tops are slowly coming undone though, so that's fun. Heavy duty isnt the right name for this tape. Waste of time and annoying would be words I would use instead

I am soooooo upset with this tape! I've been buying it for years and lately it is horrible! It simply won't stick to the boxes. Easily comes off. Doesn't keep it closed unless you use a ton of it! Hate it! Will never buy it again! I'd rate it zero but it doesn't let me.,

Bought shipping and packing tape for a move. It just kept lifting off. At one point I was lifting a box off the ground and my foot stuck to a piece of lifted tape. The whole bottom came open Definiely NOT using this on my next move (a month from now)

I use it for boxes going to storage, boxes used in moving for packages being mailed.
