[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3M packing tape is the sturdiest tape I’ve ever used. It was easy to get started on the roll. It comes with its own cutter so you don’t have to use scissors. I highly recommend this tape for your toughest packaging needs.

We had water soaked boxes and a mess . But the boxes we got and the Scotch brand movers tape made it a breeze to repack the damaged boxes and move them to a different place. THANK YOU SCOTCH BRAND !!!

My company has been using this tape exclusively for years - tens of thousands of packages shipped - and loved the small size, ease of use and quality of what this tape USED to be. Over the past few months, the tape changed - it now says "40 times stronger" and feels very different (thinner and slicker), which would be fine except that when the "new" tape is used on standard kraft shipping boxes it doesn't stay stuck!!! Really 3M? What the heck good is shipping tape that comes untaped on its own from shipping boxes??? Extremely disappointed in the changes to this product and that we are going to have to switch to another type of tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I send my son mothly care packages to his base and go through packing tape faster than anything else because I have to use multiple layer, but not with this tape. Scotch Heavy Duty does the job in one strip! I am impressed with the gauge thickness and hold, very good job Scotch.

I ship virtually every day of the week, hence, I go through a lot of tape. I've been using Scotch brand tape for years without ever having any issues. In the last few months, I've noticed a huge different in the quality of the product. My first issue is that occasionally the cardboard center of the tape roll is distorted....my only recourse is to not use the tape dispenser and manually cut by hand....a major inconvience. Second, the quality of the tape itself seems to be substandard....it can easily be peeled off any package it's used on. My packing cartons look pristine....no glue residue, no cardboard is removed with the tape. I don't know what has changed in recent months. My description of this product if someone asked would be to say it was "removable tape." I rely on shipping tape to secure packages...the fact that it can be so easily peeled off is completely unsatisfactory. I purchase multipacks....this issue is now present consistently with each roll....poor adhesion to say the least.

I use it to adhere name tags to desks, put up art projects on old brick walls in the hallway, and even for mending books! This is the only tape that will keep my students' art projects hanging on the wall. I love the stuff and would never begin the school year without it! Thanks for a great product!

We pack our orders, tape them up, ship and forget it. We use a number of tapes but the packaging tape is used the most. We have NEVER had a problem!! In over 8 years we can honestly say that we have never had a failure of any of the Scotch Brand tapes or a problem during shipping.......and we ship domestic as well as international. The design of the dispenser needs a lot of improvement. After cutting a piece of tape from the whole, there is no where to put the part of the tape that is remaining. If I leave the tape under the tabs near the cutter, it is impossible to store the dispenser. Basically, the design is ineffective and inconvenient.
