I purchased an eight pack of scotch premium performance packaging tape a month ago. Needless to say I did not think there would be a problem. Now I can't find my receipt. I loaded a tape gun finding the tape does not stick. I tried another roll and the same thing occurred. I am very disappointed. I thought I was buying the best packaging tape for the job. I now have 8 rolls of nonstick tape. This was money down the drain!

This particular tape is also quite helpful when packing boxes around the house to store, move, or take to the consignment shop with items to sell. Whatever the job, Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape is the tape I choose. My only complaint is that Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape wasn't available sooner--it would have certainly saved me a lot of time, headaches, and frustation!

Scotch heavy Duty Packaging Tape seals seams with just one strip of tape- even on bulky surfaces. The tape is easy to dispense and apply. The dispenser cuts cleanly - a bonus! The other quality I like about this tape is that it is clear so it can easily be used over labels without fear of covering important shipping information. The strong adhesive quality of this tape along with the ease of dispensing and application make this an economical and reliable tape to use for packages.

I use it to adhere name tags to desks, put up art projects on old brick walls in the hallway, and even for mending books! It’s an awesome product and I used it to store collectibles, such as an autographed CD from a local musician. It’s super strong and the gripper is very useful. I am very glad it was made in the USA and no worries that it won’t stay sealed for storage. I am very glad it’s refillable too !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since you have come out with the "easier" to handle packaging tape dispenser- no longer am I messing the tape all up with my attempt to put it on a package. For years and years I always hated having to get the "tape gun" as we all called it because even when it ran out we all dreaded having to remember the flow of how the tape was threaded to come out on the other end correctly. Maybe I am in the minority with the previous hassle of packaging tape but I don't think so. This has been like a miracle in our office.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although Scotch Premium Performance packaging tape is excellent for sealing packages to be mailed, I have found other wonderful uses. I sew. She who sews must occasionally rip. Scotch Packaging tape is the pickier-upper for all the little loose threads on my fabric. I also use it to pick up cat hair on my furniture before company comes, to de-lint my husband's jacket when he leaves for work and to pick up what I can't see on the mat in front of my kitchen sink. I'm so fond of its many uses that I buy several rolls at a time.

There do not seem to be 1.88 inch x 800 inch refills for the red plastic tape dispensers. Why? While I like your clear packaging and shipping tape, it is very disappointing that I must consign the empty dispensers to the landfill since the local recycling centers will not accept them. Can't 3M do better?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently, I received from 3M, a free, 50 meter roll of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping packaging tape, which I agreed to review. The user-friendly dispenser, which the tape came with, dispersed and cut the tape easily, for my needs. And, the dispenser can be reused when the original roll runs out. I discovered an alternate use for this Heavy Duty Shipping tape, by tightly wrapping multiple tarps that I own, expediting their handling and storage. The Scotch Heavy Duty tape confines the tarps into a smaller neater, space, which is advantageous for orderliness, transport and storing. It makes my world a bit better!
