[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Package Tape is not only good for sealing shipping containers it is also good for repairing packing boxes that are used for storing household goods or craft supplies. I use a lot of card stock in my crafting. The larger remnants are kept in cardboard boxes. Tonight I repaired two such boxes with this tape because the tape is strong enough to reinforce the weak and torn places. The reason I deducted a star from my rating is that the tape will sometimes tear where that tear is not wanted.

Its the toughness of the adhesive that make me feel confident this tape does it's job.When you are waiting for a piece of home ,you wan to make sure it arrives.I would not use anything else,today I'm running out to buy more for another pkg for my son for the holidays.So,take my advice from a single parent military mom who counts her pennies.It is worth it,it is never a lot to buy and i use it for those precious packages.

It held very well, in fact, she said it had to be cut to get it off the box. Nothing inside got damaged. This is definitely the strongest tape I have ever put around a package.

I am a merchandiser and deal with a lot of boxes sent to my house that need to be loaded into my car to be brought to stores. They always fall apart but after I received this tape and started to use it, I have not had any box fall apart on me since I reinforce them with the 3M Heavy Duty Shipping tape. I use it to adhere name tags to desks, put up art projects on old brick walls in the hallway, and even for mending books! I used to close a very large container of powdered Gatorade in case it falls down I won't have to worry about the top coming off. Used for two returns and it worked great. Seems easier to use than the original
