We were trying to figure out a way to hold this in place. The packing tape said "heavy duty". I grabbed a piece of this from the roll and low and behold it works wonderful. Saves us having to get a whole new laptop!

I was a little skeptical at it's compact size compared to regular tape "guns", but it was actually more powerful to use because of it's size. I used this to tape up some small boxes for shipping and once you get the tape feeding setup, it is just so easy to use. The tape flows quite easily through the dispenser.

The built in dispenser and cutter worked good. The cutting edge has many little teeth that allows for easy clean tears from the roll. This tape is great. I have never had any issue with 3M shipping or packing tape holding up to the rigors of shipping or moving. Having moved 10+ times in 17 years I understand the value in a high quality pack tape. Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape is the best. Even if it is a little more expensive than other tapes on the market the cost is easily justifiable.

We have lots of family that all live out of state so we mail lots of packages. I usually have to wrap the tape around and around the package but was surprised to find that this tape is strong and it really is sealed with one strip. I felt confident in mailing a large envelope and a box with just one strip over the opening. I did have some trouble getting the tape started off the roll and it did split and tear up until this little protective start strip they have on the tape. After that I had no problems.

Doesn't get too caught up on the tape cutter piece and seems to do a good job sealing boxes without lifting around the corners. I did not receive any negative feedback on the couple of packages I sent in terms of poor packaging or things came undone. Only wish this was a bit bigger to handle more tape.

This larger tape dispenser came in handy. I like that its much bigger than the packing tapes I usually buy and with this wider heavy duty tape I didn't have to tape twice like I usually do. My only wish is that the roll had more on it.

I got a free sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape. It works really great. The holding power is amazing. I used it to seal a package to mail and nothing came loose during shipping. A large baggie I wanted to use had a tear in it and I used the tape on it on both sides. It never came loose even with a lot of items in it and never leaked when it got wet. I love this tape!
