This just has to be the strongest masking tape ive ever used-And only will use-Theres lots of other out there-And as the word saying goes-You get what you paid for-You buy the cheaper stuff-And the results show-It does not peal off good-or it rips to easy-or it does not stick verry well-I use it for everything-From painting inside and out-To craft projects-or for masking off lines-Or for even holding things together while im gluing something together-And this works the best for when your putting a border of stripes on the wall when painting-Just put a laser level up against the wall-on where you want to paint your stripes-Then mask off the area where the laser line is-You get perfect lines-And then use the same color wall paint that the rest off the walls color is-And fill in between the masking tape-Let it dry -Then paint back over it-Doing it this way-Will prevent the color your painting in between the tape prom bleeding through-So if your looking for the best tape to get-Here's the brand to pick

I bought this a month ago and I'm totally disappointed. It will not unroll without breaking off. It sticks to itself so hard it's almost impossible to unroll. I tossed all 6 rolls in the trash it was so bad. Not only would I not recommend this product to a friend, I would not recommend it to someone I dislike.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this tape all the time. The time it comes in most handy is when I am painting a room in my house. I put this tape all around the door and window seals to keep the paint from getting on them and paint away. Makes things go much faster. And the tape comes off without pulling any of the paint off! It works wonderfully!

Sometime in the past 3M must have changed to a thinner crepe paper for their masking tape. It is impossible to peel the tape off the role without it sticking. Other people are complaining about the same thing. It's not worth saving a few pennies on manufacturing if it makes the product worthless.

I bought a roll of this masking tape in 1.5 inch width from Office Depot in Prince Frederick, Maryland on June 20th of this year. The tape would not come off the roll without tearing down one side or another, giving only short pieces of triangular shaped tape. Then it was extremely difficult to get the tape started again after which it would promptly tear again. Thus the product was essentially useless and as far as I am concerned totally defective. Huge waste of money for what used to be a quality product. DO NOT BUY.

What has happened to your masking tape? I have been using this masking tape all my life. My uncle even worked for 3M years ago. I’m not buying another roll. The last few I have struggled with to have the tape come off the roll without splitting into thin strips that went nowhere. At first I assumed I had gotten a “fluke,” but now I see that is the way your tape is. It seems too thin and has no body to it. What a disappointment your product has become. This is the worst masking tape I've ever bought. Why would you ever make the glue stronger than the tape? It rips 100% of the time that I use it. It takes a long time to pull up the end and use it again. If I didn't already know of the Scotch brand, I'd think they just didn't know how to make tape. I'd say buy 3M but they own Scotch so I question their quality now too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a garage sale every summer. To save money, I don't buy the expensive garage sale price stickers, I use Scotch Home and Office Msking Tape. I write the size and price on the masking tape, tear off the piece of masking tape and place the piece directly on the item to be sold. The Scotch Home and Office Masking Tape is easy to write on with no smudging and tears off the roll easily. It's conveinent because it then easily removes from the article after it is sold. I also use to tape on garage sale items with cords that need to be wound up. The Scotch Home and Office Masing Tape then removes easily for the customer after the item is sold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recommend this line of product to all, it serves the purpose that is intended and some that are not intended to (kids taping items to the walls and doors). Although it is durable and has staying power, when needed it removes easily and doesn't fail to stick or difficult to remove like most generic brands. I use many different products, the masking tape is the most used and the Pop Up tape comes in handy especially during the holidays.
